I had that as a ringtone of a phone once ... selected the phone because of the ringtone (before the days of downloadable ringtones). Ironically, it was that type of stuff that cost the CBC the use of that song. They gave permission where they had no rights to give permission for use of the song in ringtones and such. It led to the song rights being open to the highest bidder. CBCs rival CTV scooped the rights to the song preventing CBC from continuing it. Now they have some non-eventful opening music on hockey broadcasts. CTV used it as an opening for their hockey broadcasts until they lost the NHL rights to Rogers. CBC was forced to buy rights to broadcast their Hockey Night In Canada games from Rogers. So this theme is now not on the air anywhere now. But when I was growing up, it was synonomys with hockey. Up here that is big. Huge ratings every Saturday night (and every night during the playoffs).
