She's A Lady was written by Paul Anka and features background vocals by Doris Troy (best known for her 1963 top-ten hit Just One Look) and British duo Sue & Sunny (sisters Yvonne and Heather Wheatman). Here is a live performance outside NBC's Rockefeller Center studios. This was broadcast on The Today Show, August 1, 1997.

Zoom, a children's TV series produced by WGBH in Boston, aired on PBS from 1999 to 2005. On one episode, the kids sang Joy To The World but one line was changed. Three Dog Night sang, "If I were the king of the world, tell you what I'd do. I'd throw away the cars and the bars and the wars and make sweet love to you." On Zoom, the last five words were replaced with "let the animals out of the zoo."

Hoyt Axton wrote Joy To The World for a proposed animated TV special, The Happy Song – which never got made. He gave the song to Three Dog Night. Axton recorded his own version for his 1971 Joy To The World album. He originally had written "Jeremiah was a prophet" but changed the opening line to "Jeremiah was a bullfrog." Nobody knows why.

I goofed. Yes I did. The original Zoom aired from 1972 to 1977. A new Zoom series aired from 1999 to 2005. It was on the original series when Joy To The World was sung. "Write Zoom, Z-Double-O-M, Box 3-5-O, Boston, Mass, O-2-1-3-4."

Here are all the intros from the original series:

Mockingbird is a remake of a 1963 top-ten hit by sister and brother Inez & Charlie Foxx. Mockingbird is adapted from Hush, Little Baby, an early 20th-century Appalchoan folk song (author unknown):

Hush, little baby, don't say a word. Mama's gonna buy you a mockingbird
And if that mockingbird don't sing, Mama's gonna buy you a diamond ring
And if that diamond ring turns brass, Mama's gonna buy you a looking glass
And if that looking glass gets broke, Mama's gonna buy you a billy goat
And if that billy goat doesn't pull, Mama's gonna buy you a cart and bull
And if that cart and bull turn over, Mama's gonna buy you a dog named Rover
And if that dog named Rover won't bark, Mama's gonna buy you a horse and cart
And if that horse and cart fall down, well you'll still be the sweetest baby in town

I wonder where Mama gets all the money to buy those things. Here is a version of Mockingbird by Aretha Franklin and Ray Johnson from her 1964 Columbia album Runnin' Out Of Fools. Released as a single by Columbia after Aretha had signed with Atlantic, this got to #94 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #90 on the Cash Box Top 100 in December 1967.
