To me it is a piece of crap. I was not speaking for anybody else.
Generally, when one types words and then posts them, they are speaking for themselves (unless you've gathered a consensus prior to posting).

Therefore, there's no difference between you calling a song a piece of crap, and me calling them shitty. Yet your remark is somehow OK, because you're just speaking for yourself; while my comment earns a reprimand about personal taste. Sounds fair, right?

See if you can spot the difference in tone.
I listened to the full countdown on Saturday and I would like to add one more channel changer:

(18) 27. FLASH LIGHT - PARLIAMENT [16]

Pile of crap.
vs
This is from someone who likes Disco Duck.
I confused that with the other dozen shitty songs you liked, like Reunited, Kiss You All over, and The Streak.

I must be tired because I don't get the difference. If he doesn't like a tune, and you don't like a tune, what difference does it make to the universe?

Personally, I do think IRBS is missing out. Flashlight is a freaking awesome jam.

It doesn't. But I tried to make that point - that it's not fair to call a song that people like "a piece of crap", because everyone likes songs others would consider "shitty". Yet the point seemed to go over his head, and he came back and lectured me on people's personal taste. I think this dialog has been exhausted.

You personalized my like for the "shitty" song. I never once berated you (or anyone else) for liking the "pile of crap".

Could Rick Dees make a more annoying song than Disco Duck? He could – and he did. Dis-Gorilla peaked at #56 on the February 5 1977 Billboard Hot 100. It reached #81 on the Cash Box Top 100 a week later.

===========================================================================
The above is the Billboard chart for this week. This is what is in Billboard. The order of the aired countdown is somewhat different. I cannot explain other than AT40 did not use the correct Billboard chart or they published the incorrect one but the numbers inside the billboard charts are consistent weeks before and after.

This was #36:
(37) 35. THINK IT OVER - CHERYL LADD

This was #35:
(39) 30. LOVE THEME FROM "EYES OF LAURA MARS" (PRISONER) - BARBRA STREISAND

This was #30:
(25) 37. YOU - RITA COOLIDGE [25]

I did not hear before #36 so I don't know how scrambled the bottom 4 were. Other songs (so far) seem correct.

Exile, originally the Exiles, formed in 1963 in Richmond, Kentucky. Kiss You All Over was number one on the Hot 100 for four weeks in September-October 1978. They had only one other top-40 pop hit, You Thrill Me in February 1979, but they had 21 country hits, 1983-91, including ten number ones. The Exiles recorded their first single, Stay With Me, in 1965 for REM Records of Lexington, Kentucky. It was never released. They recorded a new version in 1978. Dave & Sugar had a top-ten country hit with the song in 1979. Here is The Answer To Her Prayers, the first single the Exiles released, from 1965:
