they played in the band that had the hit "Tequila"

The Champs, formed in 1957, were originally Dave Burgess (lead guitar), Dale Norris (guitar), Joe Burnas (bass), Danny Flores (saxophone) and Gary Alden (drums). Saxophonist JIm Seals and drummer Dash Crofts joined the group after Tequila was a hit. They were members from 1958 to 1965.

Well "Hummingbird" is a fine fine song. I didn't know it had religious interpretations though. I just enjoyed it as a flying bird. I had to read about that.
But those first time You Tube reactors pretend that they interpreted that on their own then and there. I should stop watching them

The two of them converted to the B'Hai faith, whatever that is. I believe it's an Eastern religion, probably very peace oriented.

The Bahá'i faith, founded by Iranian religious leader Baháʼu'lláh (1817-92), emphasizes the spiritual unity of all humanity, the oneness of God and the essential harmony of major world religions. If Tallulah Bankhead had married Baháʼu'lláh, she would have been........well, never mind. Among the practitioners of Bahá'i are Rainn Wilson, Penn Badgley, Alex Rocco, Andy Grammer, Eva LaRue, Justin Baldoni and (formerly) Dizzy Gillespie and Seals & Crofts..

And "Diamond Girl" is a mighty fine song. When Seals would sing the part at the end "you sure do sure do sure do shine", I would say that my 45
was scratched and is skipping. "Summer Breeze" got most of the attention, but I always favored "Diamond Girl" and "Hummingbird" more

I forgot that he was in Remington.
I'd watch those and Moonlighting again while I'm on the treadmill if I can find them on a streamer.

Moonlighting is on Hulu. Not very good quality at least for Season 1. I watch on my dvd.
Remington Steele is on Amazon Prime Video, Season 1 & 2 if you have that. They used to have all 5 seasons but no more. I use my dvd's more when I feel like watching.
