Miller released eight studio albums and one live album. His most recent was A Friend Remembered: My Tribute To George Jones (2020). Miller wrote and recorded Black Land Farmer in 1956 at Clifford Herring Studio in Fort Worth but it remained unreleased until 1959 when Starday bought the master. It peaked at #5 on Billboard's May 18 1959 country chart. A re-release got to #16 in July 1961. (Wink Martindale had a #85 pop hit with the song that same year.) Among Miller's other hits are Family Man, Two Lips Away, Baby Rocked Her Daddy, A Little South Of Memphis and Back When Gas Was Thirty Cents A Gallon.
