So does the guy (now 68 or so) still come out in a shiny red leather jumpsuit?
I guess I will find out on the 11th of January.

Several years ago (and I may have already shared this in this thread) we attended April Wine + Glass Tiger concert. We are not young but we felt young. The "mosh pit" was filled with grey haired old ladies. Several attendies came with their own oxygen. The band didn't look young either. But if you closed your eyes, it felt like you were in a concert in the 80s again.

We wound up seeing Donny and Marie while we were in Vegas too. It was a concession to the Mrs so that we could go see Blue Man Group.
It was as cheesy as I thought it would be.

You and I must have similar wives. I saw them last year and it was a "Happy Wife, Happy Life" type of concert.

90 minutes is a small sacrifice.
The wife once dragged me to see Bob Seger at the last minute. I like him, but the circumstances weren't good. Some friends were going, and invited us to join for dinner before the show. They had tickets right in front of the stage, and they assumed we had gotten tickets too. We hadn't, so we got them right before the show. It was the top row of the Boston Garden. The seats were bolted to the concrete wall behind us, and there was a ceiling about 3 inches above my head. All the smoke from cigarettes and pot was forming a cloud around us, and all we could hear was an echo of the actual sound. I felt ill afterwards.

We had those same seats in Columbus last January. But a more modern arena and no smoke. Better sound as well.

I attended the SiriusXM Coffeehouse Tour Concert last night. Josh Radin, The Weepies and Lily Kershaw. It was as good as I could expect it to be. Good crowd, good seats, good popcorn.
Only beef was Josh Radin was the only artist to mention the Coffeehouse during the night. If the tour wasn't printed on my ticket, it would have been like a regular concert.

Bob Seger was great last night. His 3rd last show. Did not know Night Moves was written and recorded in Toronto.

With regards scotch's Segar story, somebody was partaking last night. While pot is legal up here, smoking anything in the arena is against the rules. After 2 songs, security found them and escorted the stoners out of the building.

I think my son was the youngest person attending by far (including the band). Most were my age or older. Nobody I saw aside from my son under 40.

Well, 2nd concert cancelled (well not cancelled -- rescheduled). Neil Sedaka is not going to make the show due to illness. His physician has advised him not to travel. Assuming he lives, we will see him some other time assuming our schedule permits. No new date has been released. Going up to Casino Rama anyways since our hotel was non-refundable (mental note: don't have non-refundable hotels when seeing artists older than dirt).

Revised list (with dates):

Styx put on a good show last night. This was my first time seeing them. My wife saw them back in 1979 (her first concert). I did not realize that Gowan was the Denis DeYoung replacement. He did a fantastic job. His keyboard skills are possibly better then Denis'.

Next up is Burton Cummings. We are seeing him on the eve of our vacation to Barbados. I will enjoy the show but will be difficult to keep the focus.
