Concerts you have attended?

I'm glad I can make you laugh, but I truly don't understand your statement.
Thanks and you deserve an explanation. I was a bit overdramatic with your comment that the Ray LaMontagne song is nice and soothing for summer days. That is the way I feel about The Coffeehouse. I'm sure I might listen once and a while after the 31st but will be listening to more Watercolors, Hits 1 (I have to see who the new stars could be on the Dick Clark New Years Rockin Eve), some Spectrum/Alt Nation/XMU ahd November is the start of the Holiday channels. My listening mood starts to shift with the season. If the Coffeehouse has a holiday mix like last year I will sure give it a listen. Still all in all, it is my #1 channel even though I put it in hibernation for the winter

I do that with TV shows and movies too. Some I prefer to watch during the day and some late at night (the spooky ones)

60's Gold is nice too. That why I loved my Happy Together Tour Concert

I was supposed to be seeing The Sex Pistols tonight, but the show was cancelled a couple days ago ( singer has throat issues ). Sucks, because I was really looking forward to it.

Tomorrow night we're seeing another reunion show for the local band Creature Comforts. Their debut album is one of my wife's all-time favorites, & it's a release show for a vinyl reissue of that record. So I'm taking her as an anniversary present.

I didn't buy tickets to the AC/DC show which would have been last night. I did not want to go to Rogers Stadium. The show was cancelled since Rogers Stadium was effectively demolished by storms a couple weeks back. All the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't put Rogers Stadium back together in the required time (or ever).

I thought it was under construction. Or was it a renovation?

Yayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayay!!!!!!!!!

I made a spur of the moment decision today and I'm so excited!

Phish put out their fall dates today and October 9th is in Jacksonville. So I bought a tix. Then I saw they were playing Huntsville AL on the 10th and 11th so I impulsively got Tix for both those nights.

I haven't seen them live (besides couch touring) since they did the NYE run at the Miami Heat Arena In 2014. And they haven't played FL since 2016 which was the last time they played the same place in Jacksonville.

This is so perfect. Of course my first love is The Birds and they play an away game at Jax this season but that became an international game played in London. It's on the 11th. It it were in Jax I would have gone to it. But now I get my second fav thing in the world there instead!

So I'm taking PTO from the 8th through the 15th. So 6 paid vacation days and my regular weekend. The Alabama shows are the 10th and 11th. I figure on the 12th I'll drive back south from Huntsville to Disney, spend the 13th and 14th at Disney then drive home on the 15th to be back at work on the 16th.

I haven't taken a planned vacation like this since I went to see Pam in TN like 2 years ago. I can't wait!

The Jax show is in an arena so I purposely got tix all the way in the back and up high but dead center. I want to see the lights dead on. I've wanted to do that for awhile and never have so I hope it's as cool as I think it'll be.

The AL shows are in a venue with a lawn in the back.....you all know the type I'm talking about. So I spent a little extra and I'll be in the pit for both those nights. That should also be fun. I haven't done that since I was like in high school or college.

Hahahahahah. I'm seeing Phish! Fuck I can't wait!

The entire round trip will be around 1,600 miles.

You guys think I should get a rental?

I could fly to Jax, get a rental at the airport, go to the show, return the rental, fly to Huntsville, get another rental, return that, fly to Orlando, take the bus to Disney then take the train home but I don't want to. I like driving and taking a solo road trip like this is very appealing to me.

My '24 Venue has just over 20k miles on her and as I discussed in the car thread I literally got my oil changed last Monday so I'm good for 7k miles. And that one tire is wearing more than the others but it still has near full tread on it, I'd say like 80% while the others are still around 85%. Those percentages are a total guess btw. But by looking at them (including the problem one) I am confident in guessing that they will last for like another 20k at least.

When the car was around 6 months old I drover her TN and that was a longer trip and I really enjoyed it so I want to drive her to Jax and Huntsville but I want to see if any of you think differently.
