Vudo is this and Xumo is.
Maybe that's why people can't spell words anymore. Half the words in the English language are intentionally misspelled as trademarks. When I play Words With Friends, I have to keep reminding myself that "lexis" is a word, but "lexus" is a car brand.

The next price increase to hit streaming: Amazon Prime is introducing ads to its shows and movies. Users can avoid them for an extra $2.99 a month.

Mrs. Scotch claims she looked at her credit card recently, and noticed that she's already getting charged $3/month by Amazon Prime for something.

May just give up on Live TV altogether. DirecTV is raising their prices on all platforms, Stream included. Youtube TV is $80 after taxes, and I tried Fubo TV but they want to charge $14 EXTRA on top of $85 a month for my RSN. Thanks, no!

I saw that DirecTV Stream price increase. I might not be remembering right, but it seems like they JUST did that already recently. If MLB would make my Royals games available on MLB.TV I'd be thinking REAL seriously about giving DirecTV the boot.

I just saw that Hulu is running a "$50 for the 1st 3 months" deal for their "cable" type package. It's pretty comparable to what I get from DirecTV stream, except they don't have Bally Sports ( where I watch my Royals ). But obviously that's not an issue now until April. PLUS - with the Hulu package I would get the Disney +/Hulu/ESPN + package I pay $15 a month for at no extra charge. I'm thinking I need to make a change for the baseball offseason, at a minimum.

It is definitely cheaper than cable, it seems the companies running these services are getting the same ideas as cable, where they start charging extra for sports channels (Fubo charges $14 more for my RSN). Youtube TV charges about that much for 4K, which stands to reason should be standard by this point since where almost approaching 8k being the thing in the not too distant future. The big hope for a while that Sunday Ticket's price would lower since it was bought out from DirecTV, but that's more Roger Ghadafi, er, Goodell's fault than anything else.

I just went ahead & paused out DirecTV Stream account for 3 months, & took this $50 a month Hulu Live TV deal. Gives me 3 months to figure out what we'll do after that, & in the meantime I'm gonna save 135 bucks.

Maybe you can start saving up for an 8k tv.

I don’t know what a k is, but 8 of em sounds like a lot!
I was all ready to buy a 50" Pioneer Elite Kuro Plasma 720p TV back in the day, to replace my 175 lb Sony Wega XBR tube TV. The price of the Elite got down to under $2k. It was widely regarded as the best picture available. So of course they discontinued it before I could get one. They wouldn't allow a marketplace where the best TV could be had for that little - the world would come to an end. So they came out with 1080p, and ultra HD, and curved screens, and 3-D (remember that?), and all sorts of shit to get the price back over $2k.
