My little thermometer broke. It was one of those inside/outside temp ones and the outdoor sensor broke and is reading way too high.

I'm way too into home weather stations. I've wanted one for awhile but

A: They are such a waste of money cause everyone has more accurate weather on their phones. (but logic like that would never stop me)
B: I have no proper place to put the wind sensor/rain collector where I currently live. (this sucks)

So I settled for one better than just the temp thing I have now but not nearly one as cool as the various models I've been looking at forever.

This is what I have now:

This is what I been looking at forever:

And this is what I will have tomorrow:

It's not hot no more. Chilly morning. 9c (48f). High today only 15c which is a bit under 60f. Warmer this weekend but only into the 60s (f).

I moved my tennis from Thursday to Monday so I could have one more nice day on the court in the 80s. Moving forward it will probably be in the 60s, and when the clocks move, I'll have to move it indoors.

Well here it is boys. I'm a happy camper.

Do you know your exact humidity both inside your house and outside? Because I do.

It actually is cool. I'm happy with it. I think I found a good spot for the outdoor sensor that's in the shade most of the day, so it won't get like ridiculously high temperature readings when the Sun hits it.

This thing is just making me want the super fancy weather station that tells you about wind direction and speed and collects rainfall data. I'll figure out how to make that happen another day.

Having an accurate idea of my very localized weather is just being responsible, not being old.

I'm young. I like cool, modern things like schoolhouse rocks and cabbage patch kids. Isn't that what the youngsters are into these days?

Gentlemen, some may say I've gone off the deep end.

I would counter with you are irresponsible and do not care about your family if you are not thoroughly tracking your home local weather forecast through the use of a weather station.

I just got it like 10 minutes ago. It seems pretty easy to put together. However, the mounting is going to be the problem. I have a few ideas of how I'm going to mount it thus far, but we'll worry about that in the days to come.

Cool thing is you can connect this to weather underground and then you and all the people around you who have weather stations can like compare and stuff. It's very cool.
