Then how about The Who? Or The Doors?"The The" is a formal name of the band.

I would remove the The from these. It is very simple. If you were to put 'The Doors "Baby Light My Fire"' in your list and sadchild pub 'Doors "Baby Light My Fire"' in his, they would both be there and not filtered out by my duplicate check. Neither would likely make the eventual top 256 list as the vote would be split. Therefore, I would simply ask that you drop the "The" from the front of all bands except for "The The" or a band called just "The" for the sake of duplicate checking. You guys really don't make anything easy. Then how about The Who? Or The Doors?
Seems like you've found your North Star on this.I would remove the The from these. It is very simple. This will happen, right after you've made the Whitney Houston cover of Horse With No Name your #1 song.and sadchild put 'Doors "Baby Light My Fire"' in his

I agree that a band simply called "Firm" sounds very different. The only time I leave a "The" in a band name is 1) if it's a phrase 2) it looks/sounds bizarre without it.
Here are all of my "the" artists:
The Airborne Toxic Event
The Firm
The Pains of Being Pure At Heart
The Plot In You
The Pursuit Of Happiness
The Sound Of Arrows
The Time
I liked those guys. "I'm an Adult Now" was a fun track. The Pursuit Of Happiness
I just looked it up. Thank god it wasn't a 90's song I missed.I liked those guys. "I'm an Adult Now" was a fun track.
"I'm an Adult Now" original recording made it to #35 in Canada in 1986. It did not chart in the USA that year. They re-recorded it and it made it to #22 on the Hot 100 and #6 on the Modern Rock chart in January of 1990. So if you liked the song, it would qualify for the 1990 unmadness/madness. But please record it as 'Pursuit of Happiness "I'm an Adult Now"'. You can just let me know what number to insert it at if so desired.I just looked it up. Thank god it wasn't a 90's song I missed.
