Oh I miss that. I must have been overwhelmed at work with that Covid Virus going on and couldn't be a full participant here. I still would like to catch up on some of the posts like the grocery post and some of the music posts.

Some of the other tracks I really like: (But they are all pretty good)
"Ferry Cross the Mercy" (partial song); As good as Gerry and the Pacemakers
"San Jose": As good as Dionne Warwick 's
"Wish the Lads Were Here"
"The Power of Love" (I like the line "Make Love Your Goal")
Then for "Welcome To The Pleasure Dome", when Frankie would bellow out "Welcome" at the end of the song, I would crank up my stereo as loud as possible so it would echo through the dorm room.

YES! So many great parts on that album.

I could add a bunch more that I dig, but here's just one that really stands out (as long as you have the version of the album that actually has this on it)

Orgasm has become a most mystified state of feeling
Um, no one can be quite sure if they have it or not
Um, is it just ejaculation or is it orgasm?
Is it just involuntary pelvic contractions
Or is one having orgasm?

I decided to take my monthly visit to Gov Nelson State Park, early this month, and went today. I talked to the Park Ranger last week, he told me that they were going to have more construction at the park including refurbishing the picnic shelter at the beach, so I thought I better go now. I think I saw either an otter or a beaver at the beach. He and I were the only one's there. I must have scared him as he ran under the rocks in the Isle as soon as he saw me. The lake water was much calmer this time than the last time. I was able to walk up the entire Isle with less wind. But I was still afraid to sit on the rocks. I'm too old now.

Then I walked on the beach and went to the mini-Isle. I had my hiking boots this time. The mini-Isle has a straight line of sight of the State Capital. It looks closer than 7 miles away. But the wind blew my phone out of my hands and got a few scratches. I will have to find something to sand it down.

It was an honor to be able to listen to the Coffeehouse once again at the park. Anna Vaus's beautiful cover of "Harvest Moon" is now on the main channel after being on Coffeehouse Discovery last year. And Taylor Swift also has an acoustic version of "The Fate of Ophelia" It's nice that she makes these acoustic versions of her hits for us Acoustic Swifties.

I also inquired with the Ranger about using my e-bike at the park. He said no bikes are allowed at all. I've seen people riding on the trails, but I guess they shouldn't be. I'm thinking I could still take my bike and park at the park, then ride on the bike trail adjacent to the county highway, this summer. It looks like a very nice trail.

After trimming up the yard, Yesterday was the first time in years, that I sat out in the back yard with my folding chair. Watching the hawks and the birds and listening to what was going on at the school. I also kept dozing off reading my digest. I was listening to Coffeehouse Classics. Great mellow songs on the Coffeehouse from Spring and Summers past. LIke Shelby Lynne.

I have the list of Coffeehouse s I will bike to on my Coffeehouse Bike Tour listening to the Coffeehouse along the way

Beans n Creme Coffeehouse: Downtown by the downtown square
Jinx Coffeehouse: Downtown by the new bookstore
Roots Coffeehouse: Far side from my home, have a very good Sourdough Chocolate Chip cookie
Grace Coffeehouse: Over the underpass trail
There is also a new bike route being created that takes you to East Madison, Caribou Coffeehouse, this might be a chain. I will have to check out but still do the route.
I also plan to go to Bri's Fresh Bakes. I will bike out to the library, park, walk over and stand in line. I will listen unless there is some interesting conversation in line.

The city has also put up signs for the 24-mile city bike loop that I can follow now. I plan on doing that route soon. So far, I've done partials of the route or bike around the neighborhood. I also have a head set that does not go directly into the ears that fits over my helmet that is perfect for bike riding. Memebag would be proud of me. Not for listening to the Coffeehouse but doing my extended bike riding.

Including participating in the Free Preview festivities, I've listened to The Beatles Channel "All Together Now Top 100 Countdown" several times this weekend. Sounds like the Happy Together Tour. Most of my favorite songs seem to be falling in the #40-#60 range. There (their) are a lot of hosts on this channel, and they are all presenting songs on this countdown. Including a couple that cannot speak and type in their thoughts that come out vocally auto generated, must be one of them there (their) AI things.

Earlier in the week, 60's Gold announced Fred Winston, WLS fame, will be inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame along with Charlie Van Dyke and 60's Gold Shotgun Tom Kelly.

Dick Golden's American Jazz Show was not on this morning due to the Miles Davis Radio replacing Real Jazz this weekend, so I listened to a new summer mix: Coastal Cool Summer Mix hosted by Watercolors. To me, it sounded more like my snow shoveling in the winter listening to Watercolors than being on a boat on the coast. Not that it is meant to be a bad thing.

Then during my sunset bike ride, I listened to the Yacht Rock Radio "Marina Meltdown Mix"
My YMCA goes to summer hours after Memorial Day, closing at 8pm on weekdays and 2pm on weekends. That gives me less time to use the EGym weights when less people are hanging around them and listening to all these great new summer mixes on the sxm app when I am exercising.

I have not been able to keep up listening to Hits 1 countdowns otherwise I will not have enough Coffeehouse time. I have fallen into the same listening traps I do every year once spring rolls around, but I heard this one I really liked on Hits 1 the other day. A little Laufey, Swing Out Sister, Astrud Gilberto and Sabrina Carpenter rolled into one

For the week of May 23, Boston rises from #7 to #5 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart, #42 to #36 on the Country Airplay chart and #27 to #20 on the Hot 100. The Hot Country Songs chart is based on streaming, sales and airplay. If country music fans love the song so much, why is it not getting much airplay on country stations?

That is interesting. I did not think of it that much as a country song. As I had posted last month on this thread, "it has a slight country twang to it" but I looked at it as another easy listening masterpiece for this spring. I did not know it was that popular on the country charts. Maybe Wolf has some thoughts on this song since he is our country music guru.

Do they play a lot of country in Boston?

In the most recent Nielsen Audio ratings (released May 19) for Boston, the most-listened-to station is public news/talk WBUR with a 6.6 % audience share. Country WKLB is tied for 12th with a 3.4 share and country "10.7 The Bull" WBWL is tied for 19th with a 1.3 share. On average, of all the Bostonians listening to the radio between 6 AM and midnight, fewer than five out of a hundred are listening to country music.
