A thread about in season injuries seems like something we should have here in our NFL forum.

I was watching this live and for the first time ever I actually liked Brady as the color guy.

He seemed human for once.



That was not fun to watch. Fuck him cause he's a Redskin but if he were on some AFC team or even an out of division team I'd feel bad for him. It's the same arm he fucked up last season. It's looking like Jayden is going to get labeled as yet another very talented QB who is also the ever dreaded "INJURY PRONE".

Hopefully he'll be out week 3 when we play them in Chicago.

It's insane that no one on the medical staff for the Skins thought it would be best for him to wear a hinged brace or compression sleeve for protection after it healed the first time.
 
My LG was really hurt last year and apparently got hurt right before week 1 and was so bad he was put on IR after the game. Landon Dickerson.

He then had the balls to still go on the WIP talk radio "player's lounge" show the next day and manned up about it. I listen to a ton of WIP and Eagles podcasts so it was really cool to hear him admit he played like shit. When one of the hosts Elliott Shore Parks (who I listen to literally every day on his daily Birds podcast) asked if he thinks he'll be back he said something really cool:

“If I thought I was coming close to retirement, I wouldn't have spent seven figures getting healthy in the offseason,” he said in an interview on 94 WIP.

He was joking but also clearly serious about like being pissed he spent all that money and didn't make it past week 1.

I thought it was interesting when he went on to talk all about how his personal team of doctors has meetings with the Birds staff doctors and then they figure out a plan for him.

Landon fell to us in the draft cause he was injury prone in college. He got him in the second at #37. Even if I never see him on the field again he was an overall success. He was mostly healthy in '24 and had a big part in getting Saquon his history making season and us our second title by winning LIX.

Even still, it's sad to see it maybe end like this. I have real doubts but I hope to see him protecting Jalen at least a few more times before his career is done.

This happened today in NCAA:



really shitty hit but how in the hell do you teach LBs or DBs to not deliver that hit?

Everyone has now been trained to kinda tuck your head and lead with your shoulder in order to avoid helmet to helmet during ever other normal tackle. But when the QB is sliding and you as a LB are not sure if he's gonna slide or go for a few extra yards you have to make a decision. And if you guess wrong either the shit in that video happens OR you you likely miss the tackle and the QB runs right past you.

This hit doesn't seem malicious to me.

The one against Trevor last season seemed a little more delayed and he had slightly more time to see the QB was sliding:



This one is not like the others. This one is totally on Tua because he runs right into it head first:



I was at this game in the nosebleed seats where Tua was running towards me .

I find it fascinating that the same thing happens to every one when they get their head seriously scrambled like that. Their arms seem to involuntarily lift up, get stuck there for a couple seconds, then hit the ground. It's really weird and scary.
