Since it was raining today, I decided to check out Rainfall Radio while I was taking my bath. I thought I'd hear songs like "The Rain In Spain"
"Here Comes That Rainy Day Feeling" or "Tell It to the Rain" Stuff like that. Instead, it was just rain sounds and thunder and rain. It was so loud it did not even feel soothing. It made me feel like my house was going to leak. I don't think I can carry the SXM flag for this channel. Why would they have a channel like that?

There's a lot of sleep-type channels that are nothing but white/gray/brown/pink noise.

That's definitely one of them.

(And no, "brown noise" isn't the sound of someone having the explosive diarrhea that's been in the news.)

Brown noise, also known as Brownian noise or red noise, is named for Scottish botanist Robert Brown (1773-1858), who documented the erratic motion of various inanimate particles in water. Here is ten hours of brown noise. You can get the same effect by running your air conditioner for ten hours.

I bought a white noise machine for someone for Christmas one year. I could have probably achieved a similar effect by using an old FM radio between stations.
