I assume you had some free time and, as a good man, wanted to volunteer to help better your community and it came down to:

AmeriCorps, The Red Cross, Giving Tours of Scotch's House and Meals on Wheels.

In terms of being able to have the greatest and most altruistic impact, you 100% made the right call.
