Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time

[scotchandcigar]

And exactly what does that mean?

To overlook a song that I know and like, because it's wedged between other songs, and the name didn't jump out at me.

Like perhaps these additional 2 for you:
152. Jet - “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” (2003)
153. Foo Fighters - “Best of You” (2005)

[scotchandcigar]

From the other thread to here

Solid albums (no more than one or two clunker/mediocre songs allowed)

159 Synchronicity The Police

I dare you to listen to "Mother".

It's more like "may have heard and not disliked" rather than "know and like".

As to these songs, I am not familiar with either (I checked youtube).

You never saw this Apple commercial, back in the day?

[IdRatherBeSkiing]

You never saw this Apple commercial, back in the day?

In that context I recognize the music. I didn't realize that was an actual song.

All commercials use actual songs. The days of Barry Manilow jingles is long gone.

I dare you to listen to "Mother".

The most "shoulda been a b-side" song of all time. It would fit perfect on the back of a "Synchronicity 1" seven-inch.

I assume you saw that each album was allowed "a clunker or two" ...?
