Police say the woman was caught pouring gas on Martin Luther King Jr.'s birth home and was stopped by tourists in the area.

Saw that on the news last night.
My first reaction was what the fuck is wrong with people? What makes these hillbilly racists think that it's ok to do something like that?
Then they showed her being restrained up close, and I thought, oh.....she's just crazy. Too bad.

At least she didn't manage to burn the place down.

Does one have to be white to be a hillbilly racist? Isn't assuming this racist in itself?
 
There are indeed black hillbillies. Hillbilly, a documentary filmed in 2018 in Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia, aired on Hulu and examined how hillbillies have been portrayed in books, movies and television shows.
