Even when coned, Penny still manages to find her(?) favorite spot on that chair you told us about a while ago. How old is she again?

finding dead people really sucks.

dead anything kinda blows. found hendrik and he was still warm.

found tom cat and he was cold. he must have been dead for hours in his drawer where he slept.

idk, something i've been thinking abt.

Tom cat?

I was with my dad when he took his last breath. It was tough, and I think about it often, but I'm glad I was there for him.

i was with my mom too when she took her last breath. when i was born she told me "you'll always love your mother" when she died I told her i always love my mom. but she had a nurse w/her. I found hendrik's corpse. i cared for the old man for years...that was very unfun.

Tomcat was my last cat before Athena. he made it to 16. then i found him in a drawer. that also wasn't fun.

what do u do w/a dead pet? a dead human you call the ambulance. so i put tom in a box and took him to the vet to dispose of the corpse. they asked if i wanted the ashes but i just wanted to be done w/it. it was a huge bummer.

You probably did about the best you can do unless you've got a yard and want to do the pet cemetery thing.
I've heard where people have done that only to have some other critter dig up their dead pet. That would really suck.

ive been crying a bit lately. i miss the old man kinda a lot
Don't fight it.
Take it as it comes.

My dad passed about 14 years ago, and my mom passed about a year after. Unfortunately, she died alone. That bugs me more a lot of the time. I try to think of it as a good thing that the relationships were good enough that I still miss them.

We have ashes for our dogs Pepper and Fred and our cat Ally. One cat died when we were on vacation and the vet of the dog sitter took care of it (no ashes). And the other cat just got put in the trash. Wasn't really thinking about ashes at the time.

Earlier we got the body back of our family dog Joey and buried him at our cabin.
