Have you gotten into the scotch early today?
Or have you been kidnapped by rogue weather forecasters ?
Blink twice if you're in danger!!!!!
@JHDK has a new car. None of us are really safe anymore. I just don't see why he would care about weatherman. Unless he was looking for some snow or something.

Haha. But seriously, they will run the satellite loop and tell us what part of the satellite image is wrong. Or they'll show the GFS and European models for forecasting and explain the likelihood of each scenario. And all 3 of the network weather forecasters generally agree. Maine is a complicated state, but they tend to get it right for each region.

The number of times they have been way off - like a washout on a predicted sunny day, or a total miss with snowfall - is a pretty low number. And I've experienced the Boston and NH forecasters, where it's a 50-50 shot that the weather will be the opposite of the prediction.

If you read the (short) article, it has a much less certain tone than the headline. And, in fact, it doesn't support the statement that there even is a massive sunspot.
I read the article. It has turned into a collection of smaller sunspots but they think it has the same amount of output (they won't know until they get a clearer view and can do measurements) but if it does could produce the same effects as in May. But these are just space weathermen so their predictions are likely not too accurate. But it very probable that everybody except Hectic will have good views of northern lights.
