Reminds me of

348s.jpg

When I make a grocery list I write everything like an adult you know.....Carrots bread milk, tomato cheese, lettuce, chicken, cat food. But every single time I need toilet paper I always write i need TP for my bunghole and it always makes me giggle when I'm writing it and it makes me giggle again when I'm in the store buying it. I'm pretty sure I have a screenshot of that I can post because I sent it to Pam once and told her the exact same thing I'm posting right now.

Found it!

In response to Wolf saying he doesn't like certain food, I was looking for the list of things IRBS dislikes (which includes some food items), and I realized it didn't have a "home". So if you don't mind, I'm a gonna put it right here:

Anyway, the reason I wanted to look into this list is to see what food IRBS dislikes. Based on this list, I only see
Beer
Coffee
Pepsi
non-baked beans
uncooked onions
peppers

So if we make a thread for food each one of us doesn't like, we can add these.

"I hate the spread" sounds like a personal problem. :p

I appreciate all the effort you put into that, Mister scotch. We should have a "Likes & Dislikes" thread. If anyone cares, I hate beets, eggplant, tofu, mustard, mushrooms and ginger. I tried coffee a few times and didn't like it. I've never had beer or any kind of liquor.

Three more foods I hate: coconuts, bananas and jalapeños. If I think of any more, I will be sure to let everybody know. We now return you to your regularly scheduled "The world according to IdRatherBeSkiing" thread.

I believe this was in the context of fantasy football. Without the spread it would be a lot easier.

Also, I don't hate "Message In A Bottle". I hate the ending which goes on for ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever.

Anyways, while my disliked are fascinating, I had a interesting day. It started with me losing my Presto card. This is the card we use for transit in the area. I had it on a lanyard and it came off somewhere. It was registered so I was able to cancel it and they showed me how to register my phone for a virtual card and set it up as a replacement. So now I don't need the lanyard anymore.

But the big thing was that as a part of the benevolence program at my workplace I volunteered 2 hours of my work time (with my boss, bosses boss and a couple guys same level as my boss) at a local homeless shelter. It was a fascinating experience. We sorted donated food into bins. They have bins for all the different foods. While people donate it random combinations all mushroom soup needs to go in the mushroom soup bin. We had a 2 hour allotment but had that done in 1 hour. Once we understood the dynamics we broke it up like an assembly line and had it completely caught up in record time. The second hour was going though cartons of 24 goldfish packages and putting the contents into 2 bags. This doubled the number of people it would serve. We did this as an assembly line too and we did 6 cartons in under 1 hour. They offered us lunch but we declined. It didn't seem right taking a meal from someone who needs it.

I felt really good about my time but my legs and arms are sore as hell. I have not stood for over an hour and have not poured goldfish for almost an hour before and my muscles are reminding me. But if the opportunity comes next year, I would do it again.

IRBS, I know what you were referring to when you said you "hate the spread." It just sounded like..........well, never mind. If I say what I was thinking, somebody will comment that "we can't have nice things."

I've never had beer or any kind of liquor.
And people look at me like I'm an alien when I tell them I've never been drunk! What looks do you get when you say "I've never consumed alcohol in my whole life"
Three more foods I hate are maple, soy and anchovies. Hey, that sounds like the name of a law firm!
Or an indie band!
Also, I don't hate "Message In A Bottle". I hate the ending which goes on for ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever.
Kinda like "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" good song but 2 minutes too long

Every little thing, every little thing
Every, every little thing
Every little, every little, every little
Every little thing she does
Every little thing she does
Every little thing she does
Every little thing she does
That she does is magic
Eee-oh, oh, eee-oh, oh
Eee-oh, oh, eee-oh, oh
Eee-oh, oh, eee-oh, oh
Eee-oh, oh, eee-oh, oh
Eee-oh, oh, eee-oh, oh
Eee-oh, oh, eee-oh, oh
Eee-oh, oh, eee-oh, oh
Eee-oh, oh, eee-oh, oh
Every little thing
Every little thing
Every little thing
She does is magic, magic, magic
Magic, magic, magic
Ey-oh, yo-oh
Eee-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh

I don't recall mimeographed pages having any odor. What had a slightly intoxicating smell were pages printed on a ditto machine, formally known as a spirit duplicator or fluid duplicator, We would type a page on ditto paper, then attach it to the drum of the machine and turn the handle and a solvent such as ammonia or methylated spirits would transfer the purple ink to a sheet of paper. When I was in elementary school, many of us loved the smell of those pages – and rubber cement too.

I am back in Saskatoon for a week. My dad will be 92 tomorrow. Also good to have some time off. I have been really busy at work since mid-December. We have been working with a vendor whose developers are in India so we have had lots of 7AM or 8AM meetings over that time. It will be good to just not do anything for a bit.

Dude that is awesome. Enjoy every minute with him. How's he doing like physically?

we have had lots of 7AM or 8AM meetings

I'm sure it will be delightful to not have to do that for a while.

I am back in Saskatoon

When someone says they are in Saskatoon, that's like a weird way of saying they have been sucked into a space jam or who framed Roger rabbit type scenario right?

Because Saskatoon can't possibly be a real place with such a silly name. It must mean you fell into a cartoon type world with Bugs Bunny and all of them and you have to complete some sort of mission in order to get back to the real world.
