Howard Stern is live this week (today) on SiriusXM Howard 100. On today's show, he talked about drama with a bird and the HBO debut. Fred didn't get dressed up, but he got dressed up today.

Schedule:
Monday: Live show
Tuesday: Sternthology. Whatever Howard talked about on Monday, they play related stuff today.
Wednesday: Wrap-up Wednesday. Jon Hein does about five minutes of wrap-up at the top of every hour, then they replay a big portion of Monday's show.
Thursday and Friday: I believe this is old stuff along with the Thursday debut of the Monday show on HBO Max.

The Mrs. and I watched the HBO show. I was a bit surprised how long it ran; I think it went for an hour and a half. It was mostly entertaining, but I would've liked the Ronnie segment to have been shorter. The Gary stuff was good, and I found it interesting that Howard won't go to Brooklyn for Kimmel's show. I mean, WTF?

It was interesting to try figuring out who was in the studio, and who was remote.

FYI, it took me a minute to find them, but there are five (I think) full bonus episodes under the "Extras" tab on HBO Max.

I don't know how to feel. It's obvious he's trying to stay relevant and maybe find a new crowd. Maybe he still thinks there's a lot of people who think he's some sort of sex-crazed maniac.

Yet it's really just a long-form version of what's been on the SiriusXM app for a while now.

Having the show on another outlet isn't a bad thing, but it's a delayed/edited version of a bunch of people sitting in different locations.

The show would work a lot better with visuals. That's what the E! show worked. Unfortunately, to Howard's detriment now, the overwhelming majority of it was stuff he's trying now to get away from.
 
Dead birds (and even live ones) freak me out to the point where I don't want to be near a dead one and someone else is gonna remove one from the house.

...but that's absolutely Howard the germophobe wanting to use the Clorox wipes on the trash can. A dead bird isn't going to spread disease...I don't think.

We watched episode 1, which had a video of Gary patting Springsteen as he walked by at a concert, Richard inefficiently manning the phones, and a long interview with Matt Damon & Ben Affleck. These are full, 1.5 hour episodes. Thanks for pointing this out machpost! Oh and this is the one where Robin announced she was clear of cancer.

Can someone clarify where everyone is? Mrs. Scotch says Howard is always broadcasting from home, but of course the show is filmed in a way that you can't tell. Everyone is a single shot, including Robin and Fred and Gary. Howard appears to be in the left corner of the studio, and the people he interviews look in that direction (to their right) when talking.

But I've noticed two different sets for Howard: one where his monitors have a fake metal top, and a wood wall directly behind him; and one where the monitors are all black, and a curtain behind him. I'm thinking that Gary, Fred, and the staff are in-studio, while Howard and Robin are remote?

I think this is the answer:
Howard has two studios. He goes to Florida after Christmas. He'd go before, but Beth wants to be in NY for Christmas. He has someone(s) to look after the cats. He's even mentioned how he'd go before Christmas and we know he has a Florida house because that's where Beth's shoe closet is from when they had to move the stairs. He also did the shows from the Miami studios.

Robin is from her home.

Ronnie, of course, is from Las Vegas.

Everyone else? I think they're in the studio at least part of the time.
 
I think this might be my new schedule:
Monday and Tuesday: Listen to the new show. If I have extra time, then listen to some Sternthology.

Wednesday: Listen to the Wrap-Up stuff, but not live. I can check that out later in the day and skip through the vast majority of each hour since I've already heard it.

Thursday/Friday? Check out what I missed on Tuesday and occasionally drop in on H100.
 
Tuesday's Sternthology had when Gary double-booked Jewel and Jenny McCarthy, Alan Roach called in, Chuck Norris, the first day at K-Rock and a hell of a lot more.

Wrap-up Wednesday has Kenny Chesney as the guest.
