II know that this has been discussed before but what still makes no sense is the alienation Howard felt from Jackie when he left because of a contract when Howard would pull the equivalent of a toddler temper tantrum on air over his contract. I am not defending Jackie’s actions but given the time and place it seemed like it was every man for himself when it came to contracts with Howard sucking the all the air out of the room. Ancient history now...

What don't you get? In the end Howard is greedy. It's not ok for anyone to want more money except Howard.

Robin and Fred didn't protest but deep down they probably wanted more money too which is the real reason they hated Jackie.

All of the people in that studio including Gary should be able to retire after leaving the most successful radio show in history. They can't.

Even Jackie says his money is running out. Howard should learn to share but in the end he is a greedy person.

I said it makes no sense, I did not say I don't get it.
Whether they can retire or not, I have no idea and don't put any thought to it.
