I won't wait for kingchuck. Congratulations, Wolf! From 1947 to 1951, Porter Wagoner worked at Sid Vaughn's Meat Market at 47 Court Square in West Plains, Missouri. The location is now home to a barbershop run by Nathan Perry. It's cleverly named Perry's Barbershop. His Facebook page acknowledges Porter.

You are not a country music fan, are you, Mister scotch? Ayuh, maybe nobody in Maine is. I can't say. Wagoner had 91 country hits (including duets), 1954-82. Sixty-four made the top 40, twenty-eight made the top ten and three went to number one: A Satisfied Mind in July 1955, Misery Loves Company (written by Jerry Reed) in March 1962 and Please Don't Stop Loving Me (with Dolly Parton) in October 1974.
