Who Am I? Week #812

I worked with a guy who went out on mental disability. He mailed me a cassette tape with just this song over and over.

Last week we learned that you had some active shooter in your work parking lot at one point.

Today we learn that you had a guy that was so legit crazy he really USPS mailed you a cassette tape doing in reality what I thought was the dumbest, most stereotypical joke I could possibly make to represent being depressed.

You say you are some sort of engineer with government contracts or whatever but I'm now thinking you probably work for Lumon Industries.

This was an after-hours gang-land murder. He was discovered the next morning by a security guard. Nothing like an active shooter.

If you work at a big company for a long time, crazy things happen every so often. Another coworker went missing for years, and then they found the bottom half of his body in Boston harbor.

The crazy guy also mailed a giant dildo to a coworker, but it ended up going to some woman, who got everyone hauled into HR.

DUDE..........You can't think that's normal. I really hope that was a joke I missed.

Hendrik worked for SmithKline from like the late 50's to the late 90's. The address may have changed once or twice while he was with the company but he never had stories about coworkers who were bisected, or gangland murders, or actual crazies with Maxell's and dildos.

Were you disappointed that he only thought you were good enough for the "ALL WORK AND NO PLAY MAKES JACK A DULL BOY" cassette tape and not good enough to get the dildo?

I'd be kinda pissed at him. Like fuck you bro! You think I'm not good enough for the dildo?

I never said it was normal. But if you get to know thousands of coworkers over the years, odds are that a couple of them will have a crazy story.

Not that type of crazy for educated professionals like you and your peers. It's weird man, like really weird.

I think you're fucking with me. And well done if that's the case cause it's working. It's funny if I'm right.

If it's not a joke on me idk what to think.

A car gets stolen, a homeless crazy wanders into your building, a coworker's wife shows up throwing a fit cause he cheated, a small electrical fire makes you evacuate for the day...........................THAT'S NORMAL YET WILD SHIT A LIFELONG COMPANY MAN CAN EXPECT TO SEE.

A gangland murder, an intelligent coworker you know for years as a regular guy going One Flew Over The Cuckoo's nest type crazy and A DUDE BEING CUT IN HALF and recovered from a harbor is not shit that occurs even by happenstance in any normal man's career at a big company.

It happened in my career. You think I manufactured the articles? They have people's names, and the company name, and they're from real news sites. Shit happens.

No dude, I'm not saying you're lying at all, of course not.

I'm just saying that your work complex has seen an abnormal amount of extraordinarily crazy shit go down while you were working there.

The weirdest things that have happened at my workplace was some dude dying while waiting for an interview, Did not happen in my department.

The other weird thing I can think of happened in a different company. Some lawyer dude, up in one of the skyscrapers, was telling his co-workers how strong the glass was. To prove it he took a running leap at the glass. He probably had about 5 seconds to realize how wrong he was before he went splat on the ground.

Well that takes the cake!

We had a guy show up in full drag, complete with a Dolly Parton wig and high heels for a job managing construction sites. He didn't get the job. His resume didn't support the experience that he claimed, and it was the 90's, but it would have been more problematic today.
