Not to change the subject but went to the movies today.
Saw "You, Me and Tuscany". It was a cute movie, It was similar to Sandra Bullock's "While You Were Sleeping" except the setting was Italy instead of Chicago.
Good music and scenery. I would call the Sleeper of the Year #2
Wasn't there a movie set in Tuscany already, starring Diane Lane? Like the Tuscan Sun?

That could be. I think I saw a copy at the library. I should check and let you know what it is about. Tuscany looks very nice.
Of course, my favorite Diane Lane movie would be "Secretariat". I think she also played Katherine Graham in a Watergate movie recently.

I have a question? Do you know what "Beef" is about I saw your post where it sounded like you may have seen Season 1. We never heard of it before and started seeing it up on our Netflix menu for Season 2. I'm still like to watch "Man on the Inside". That first scene in Season 2 when Charles loses the feeling in his leg cracks me up. That's me when I have to drive for hours.

We finished Man on the Inside shortly after it came out. Yes, despite being full of old-person jokes and dad jokes, it's a funny show. I think the fact that he's an engineer and still tech savvy is interesting to me.

When Beef came out, I thought it was a one-and-done series. It was a very entertaining show about two people who have a "beef" with each other. It starts with a road rage situation, and turns into a full-on quest for vengeance. A big feature of the first season was that it had a mostly Asian-American cast, and was set in a wealthy Asian section of L.A. It got into the rivalries between Japanese, Korean, and Chinese ethnicities, which I'm a little bit familiar with from experiences at my workplace and college. Also, it starred Ali Wong, who was already well-known as a comedian and actress.

The new season of Beef seems to have dropped the Asian angle. So it looks to be more like The White Lotus, where the cast and people are mostly different from one season to the next.

Thanks. That has significant viewing possibilities.

I've still been going to the Monday Senior Center Old Time Musical Movies but we will be taking a break in May with the instructor going on leave.

I did go to a second movie today at night at the cinema called "The Gardener". It look interesting but only available Monday and Tuesday night at 7:30 so I went tonight. It started like the Devil Wears Prada. An executive woman in charge of a Make Up company but it shifts when she is hospitalized and takes resort in a small cottage in the country where she finds herself in nature and changes her life away from the hustle and bustle of the business world. Beautiful waterfall scenes, we thought it might be Gooseberry Falls in Minnesota but we looked it up when we got home and it turned out to be Highland Falls in North Carolina.
I would call this one the Surprise of the Year as I never heard of the movie until this morning.

I might go see "Michael" on Tuesday. When I saw the previews, I said the actor playing Michael doesn't even look like Michael but the ticket girl was saying that the actor was his actual nephew

Los Angeles Times headline: "Michael has thriller opening weekend"

Michael, which stars Michael Jackson's 29-year-old nephew (and Jermaine Jackson's son) Jaafar – and 12-year-old Juliano Valdi as a young Michael Jackson – grossed $217,400,000 in its opening weekend; $97,200,000 of that was in the United States and Canada. Jaafar does his own singing in the movie, although in most of the songs his voice is blended with Michael's. Jaafar's debut single, Got Me Singing, was released June 28, 2019.

We went to the 11am showing of "Michael " for my Tuesday $6 admission. It was very good. I would call it the Musical Hit of the Year. Tonight I was watching: "The Jacksons An American Dream" from 1992 to compare and contrast the two movies. The most interesting difference was in the current movie they have the Motown Records people discovering the Jackson 5 in a concert in Chicago while in the 1992 movie they have the Motown Records people discovering them at the Apollo Theater. Lots of people my age was in attendance. the upper section was filled out while our row (E) was nearly filled

Weapons was really good and took turns I was not expecting.

Fun movie but scarier than I was expecting going in.

Thoughts Aaron?

I liked that one a lot too. Pretty scary and all around solid cast. Amy Madigan got most of the nominations, deservedly so, but the one who played the teacher handled that part real good also.

Nononononono

The teacher, the cop, the addict and the gay principal were the standouts to me. Voodoo old lady was fun but I never thought of her as putting in the most work as an actor. Her role was pinnacle to the story but also kinda silly.

Josh Brolin and Amy Madigan were both great but not the stars to me.

What do you recommend for me to watch next? That's streaming.

House of Dynamite was by far my favorite 2025 movie just so you have an idea of what I'm into.

You are the King of movies here at DRC after all.

If you haven't watched Your Friends and Neighbors yet, I may have to come down and smack you on the back of the head.

We watched the latest episode last night. And I had a breakthrough. The guy who plays the filthy rich, arrogant pretty boy, Owen Ashe (James Marsden) -

I've been racking my brain to figure out where I've seen him before. He played his own twin on Dead to Me, with Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini (who also starred in DTF St. Louis). It seems like he was created in a lab for the purpose of playing a rich, white, handsome dickhead. Anyway, Your Friends & Neighbors continues to be very entertaining. In the latest episode, they had an over-the-top Passover seder. Fun stuff.

First off, that would probably turn me on.

Second I cant watch it yet cause I broke my phone and Macintosh is so pissy about PW's that they wont let me back in my account until I get the replacement. But I am well aware of needing to watch it thanks to you. I even told Pam my nerd internet friends said I have to watch it cause Jon Hamm plays me or something.

Third, Even if he plays a retarded person I'm super flattered to ever be compared to that hunk of a man.
