Comments:
  • The week before was featured last year: Feb 7, 2022
  • "Sukiyaki" is probably the most successful bubble we've seen so far.
  • "Ain't No Love in the Heart of the City" is a re-make (Bobby "Blue Bland, 1974). This was a live version. The studio version was released in 1978, but didn't chart. My fav for the week.

Playlist:

Cow Patti
From the good lands came the cowgirl
Patti was her name
She was hot on the trail of that killer
On a moped she called Flame
'Cause the killer had killed her daddy
Just for spittin' in the road
You only had to kill her daddy once
To get that gal P.O.'d

Yippie eye eh Cow Patti
She rode into town to find the man that killed her daddy

It ends with the killer slipping in cow shit (hence the heroine's name Cow Patti). What a song! LOL.

From the Pulse forum:

This week's Casey lite... Top 46 artists of the 80s!

No regular countdown this weekend? I guess there goes our chances of doing both 1983 and 1989 in February. Neither have been featured since 2019.

They advertise it on air as top 47.

President's Day Weekend they are doing special countdowns. The 80s along with the 90s an y2k channels will each be counting down the top 47 artists of their respective decades. Starting Friday @ 9 on the 80s. Moving in sequence though the decades along with replays throughout the weekend. No VJ Big 40 it sounds like. Also looks like the 70s got left out.
