Man, you can REALLY see the influence of MTV in that chart.
The Chiiiwack one surprises me. And to get stuck @ #41 has to suck. Will never reach the top 40
#41 Chilliwack "Whatcha Gonna Do"
#87 Judas Priest "You've Got Another Thing Comin'"
Kind of a surprise and a shame.#69 Missing Persons "Destination Unknown"
A bit of a surprise.#87 Judas Priest "You've Got Another Thing Comin'"
That's too bad. It should have been closer to 20 IMHO.#91 Fixx "Stand Or Fall"
It would have been great if this one broke 100. I love it, but am happy and surprised that it got this far up the charts.#106 - "Peek a Boo" Devo (peaked at this position, #13 Dance)
1988 - 1992 are the exception with lots of songs from bands like Metallica, Motley Crue, Aerosmith, Poison, Alice Cooper, Winger, Cinderella, Guns N Roses, Bon Jovi, Faith No More, Lita Ford, Def Leppard, Nirvana generally scattered across the Hot 100.Hard rock doesn't do well on the pop charts usually.
Have you seen the other "hits" posing as music in the same era?1988 - 1992 are the exception with lots of songs from bands like Metallica, Motley Crue, Aerosmith, Poison, Alice Cooper, Winger, Cinderella, Guns N Roses, Bon Jovi, Faith No More, Lita Ford, Def Leppard, Nirvana generally scattered across the Hot 100.
