Short Dick Man by Gillette (Sandra Navarro Gillette) and the six-man production team 20 Fingers was written by producers Charles Bable and Manfred Mohr and reached #14 on the January 7 1995 Hot 100 but never appeared on the R&B chart. A few rap/hip-hop stations played the song but top-40 stations, if they played the song at all, played the "clean" version, Short Short Man.

In 1996, Die Original Deutschmacher (Arnd Zeigler and Berthold Brunsen) released a German-language version, Kurzer Kurzer Mann. It is not on YouTube. For that we can be thankful. It was one of 18 remakes on their Endlich Verständlich ("Finally Understandable") album. Among the others: Stayin' Alive, Celebration, We Are The Champions and Papa Was A Rollin' Stone.

Which, while removing "dick" from the chorus, still has most of the original verse lyrics, like:

I switched to "JACK-FM" format in about 2003. In 1998 and 1999 I was still listening to alternative radio. In 1999 they flipped the format of the station I listened to to Virgin Radio -- all pop crap so I listened to a more obscure alternative station for a bit then switched to JACK. I did listen to more pop radio in 1998 and 1999 as the girl I was dating at the time was more into pop radio.
