Since that last post there has been an update.
I've learned my lesson when it comes to lying about my DUI so I was truthful on my application. As a result there is a hold on my application. I need to write a personal statement about it and submit some documents. I wrote the statement and will scan the docs this weekend and send them in.

So the girl took me out with her friends to some driving range/bar/restaurant thing. It was an interesting setup. You get a slot at this three story range and there are couches and waiters and stuff and then you take turn hitting balls. It was fun.
It was a competition I kicked the shit out of everyone. We were three couples and the two other dudes didn't stand a chance. In the scoring system thing (you try to hit targets, the further away the target the better) it was like 130 me to the next highest being like 50. These poor guys couldn't hit a ball straight or with any distance to save their lives. This got me thinking...the two times she's taken me out with her friends I've mercilessly murdered them in some sort of competition. The time before this it was ping pong where the guy wouldn't give up until he won a game off me. We played like 15 times before he got one.
This is good for my ego. And I think she digs it too.

Here we go Scotch:
Went to 4 places to find these. Jared, Macy's, Zales & Kay. I wanted something that didn't look tiny. These are on white gold and the bezel around them kinda tricks the eye into thinking they are bigger. They are a 1/2 karat total. The clarity is kinda shitty but I'm not about to be spending thousands on these things. Size over clarity. After tax, at $565, they were $65 over the budget I set when I went shopping. Whatever, I think they look nice and I'm pretty positive she will love them.
The purse worked out well as a birthday gift but these should really put me over the top.

Well I may have had a few too many Jack and cokes last night and the girl wasn't happy. We'll have to talk about that at some point, a chat I'm not looking forward to having.
In other news I called out of work today and it feels great! This is the only time I've called out since I've been there...I started in June 2018. Oh well besides when Hendrik died, but that doesn't count. I figure 1 call out isn't the end of the world and I intend to spend my day watching The Expanse. The new season just came out on Amazon Prime.
