Airplanes & Airports

Oh my. January seems like a LONG time ago.
That was my last day at my old job. I was a little more distracted than usual.

Yep. That's some fukked up art.
I only saw that crazy horse at the airport, didn't see any of the paintings. I was told that the sculptor of the horse died from making it.

Isn't the Denver airport run by the illuminate or something? Hahah.

But I'm pretty sure I've seen wacko conspiracy theories about that place.

In Phoenix Sky Harbor, we have this mural. It was located in the old terminal 2 and now moved to the updated terminal 3.

So that's a fancy term for airport?

People here call the area west of us "The Everglades". It's just a fancy term for swamp.

Why can't people shoot straight?

That mural is super cool though.
Yep it's simply known as Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Many years ago they had terminals 1, 2, 3. As the airport got updated and expanded. They tore down terminal 1 and added 4. Now they just tore down terminal 2, to expand terminal 3. The airport doesn't want to renumber the terminals for any confusion. Instead they try and rename them with names. As terminal 3 is know as John McCain Terminal 3 and terminal 4 is known as Barry M. Goldwater Terminal 4.

In Toronto they originally had Terminals 1 & 2. Then they built Terminal 3. Then they built a new Terminal 1 and demolished Terminal 1 & Terminal 2. So now we have Terminal 1 & Terminal 3.

also how do planes work? i know it's something abt how the wings are curved to allow airflow and lift.

freaking jet engines? any idea how they work?

giant metal beasts just fly through the air and we all accept it. really a modern marvel.

You sound like some 1700s guy who was frozen and then thawed.

I'm back from Colorado. It was an awesome family visit, and the weather was great. My nephew's pad in Thornton is quite the executive abode.

We went to downtown Boulder, which is my kind of place - boojie and progressive, with a nice walking space

While in Boulder, my nephew took us to the Carroll Shelby American Collection, which has over a half-billion dollar's worth of sports & race cars packed into a nondescript industrial building

We also went to Golden, and drove through Lookout Mountain park, which provides a great view of the Coors facility

My review of the airport is that it's a piece of crap, with a bad layout and poor signage. It doesn't even look as new as it is. But the Denver/ Boulder region is very cool. Lots of good food and local beers.

For a guy who can't even manage to get a septic tank pumped in time, I don't think you need to know.
