I mentioned it before and while not completely approved yet it looks like the NBA will come back with 22 teams and play all games at Disney World.

I may have to schedule my Disney trip around going to see a Sixers game now. That would be fun.

Georgia Merry, born in 1995 in England, has been singing and performing since she was six. At age seven, she starred in a production of Anastasia. She has her own YouTube channel filled with multiple-screen videos of her impersonating Disney characters and singing their songs (and providing harmony for herself). Here is her medley of songs from Moana – and yes, she even impersonates Maui, Tamatoa, Pua and Hei Hei. Hurry and watch!

And here is her medley from Frozen 2:

Reminds me of The Brady Bunch.

Moana is my favorite animated Disney musical that I've seen as an adult. The story and songs are all great and it has Jemaine Clement as the bad guy crab so that's awesome. It's so good it even cracks the top 5 with all my other childhood nostalgia picks.

1. Beauty and the Beast (hands down the best by far)

2. The Lion King
3. Aladdin
4. Moana
5. The Little Mermaid

I was tempted today to drive up to Universal just because I need theme parks in my life. Then I looked into the pricing and it's every bit as expensive as Disney. Around $110 for one park and $180 for both parks. No way can I be spending that type of money. I'm already agonizing over just spending the money on gas to go to Disney on July 13th. Disney reopens on July 11th but that's a Saturday and I only have a pass for weekdays so the first day I can go is the 13th.

Whatever. Animal Crossing will be my theme park for the next 37 days.

Honorable mentions that I feel remiss leaving out of my fav Disney movies....(musical or not)

Bambi - When I was a little boy that asshole hunter killing Bambi's mom made me a vegetarian for a while. Americans don't need to hunt for food or sport. Having/shooting guns is acceptable for personal protection and fun for shooting at stationary targets or discs but killing animals is not. Just go to the grocery store jerk, we're not savages. We have farmers that gruesomely slaughter millions of animals for us so we don't have to think about it while we enjoy a burger or chicken sandwich.

Snow White
Cinderella
Zootopia
Fantasia
Pocahontas
WALL-E
101 Dalmatians

Toy Story Land is cool in Hollywood Studios but I was never really into the movies. Same with the Finding Nemo ride in EPCOT. Cool, but not into the movie. Maybe I should watch them again.

Splash Mountain, a popular attraction at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, features Br'er Rabbit, Br'er Bear and Br'er Fox, characters from the 1946 Disney movie Song Of The South. James Bascomb, Hattie McDaniel and many others who appeared in the film said it is not racist – but Disney refuses to release the movie on DVD or Blu-ray or make it available on Disney+. Following the death of George Floyd, many Disney fans now want to see Splash Mountain re-themed to feature Tiana, Disney's first African American princess. What a fine idea. Maybe Disney can also have a black Donald Duck, a black Olaf and seven black dwarfs.

that is a very hard no from me. the racist stuff has been whitewashed (haha, get it? whitewashed) from the ride...it was never there to begin with. and splash mountain is top 2 all rides in disney. with carousel of progress.

oh and check this out:

they def threw a new coat of paint on the castle while the place has been closed. it pops even better now. i think it's in prep for next year's 50'th.

The plan for park reopening reservations has been clarified. The parks will only operate at 30% capacity max and you can only go to one park per day so no hopping even if you have a ticket like mine that allows for it. They will add all the days they were close onto the end on my annual pass and will also provide either more days or a partial discount for the no hopping.

30% is nice. That means those parks will be empty and it should be easy to get on everything. Passholders can start making reervations on the 26th and I plan to. I am well aware it's a dumb decision but I gotta get out of the house.

Shanghai Disneyland reopened in May. Disney plans to reopen its 11 other theme parks in July. More than 7,000 Walt Disney World employees – pardon me, "cast members" – want Disney to reconsider reopening the Florida park. The COVID-19 virus has killed 3,285 people in the state. In Orange County, home of Walt Disney World, there have been 6,056 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 53 deaths.
