I can see how that would apply to people who are innovators. But if he was really ahead of his time, he would've figured out how to get reelected.
 
I went to a World of Beer once. After quite a few minutes of deciding what to drink, I noticed a brew from Belgium that I always heard was awesome and I could never find anywhere else. The guys says kind of shyly, ummm it’s well $26 for a bottle.
Me, gulp, okay… hand it over I guess, life is short go for it. It really was good though, the Belgians know their thing.

I went once and sat on the patio. Their staff hardly ever came by. It was like they kept forgetting about us.

I went a second time before a big game. We were routinely ignored. We missed the first part of the game.

I never went back.

Speaking of which...

When are we, as a nation, going to grow-up and stop this 0.99 foolishness? I'm not a particularly big purveyor of upscale restaurants, but they generally dispense with the 0.99 bullshit and just price menu items in whole dollars. Also, in the better (pricier) mail-order clothing catalogs, they just use whole dollars.

But even in high-priced situations, they might still treat people like idiots. Here's the highest priced house currently on the market in our town.

If they just said $7 Million, it would drive everyone away, right? So take $5k off, and it'll sell like hotcakes. Well, apparently not.

And don't get me started on gas prices.
