So how many of you want to strangle Baba Booey when he talks about "waiting on line" for something.
If any organization gives awards for the biggest graphic errors, I nominate this one:

I grew up in NJ. That's what we say. During my childhood, there was no other use for the term "on-line".So how many of you want to strangle Baba Booey when he talks about "waiting on line" for something.

It's like when they tell people to "form a line". You're not getting into something that exists, you're ascribing to the shape of a line.Because it makes sense you're "on" something and not part of it, aka "in" it...
If you can end a war in a day, you might be able to build a stadium in the same time. This is from a story in today's U.S. edition of The Mirror: "The Chicago Fire is set to become the 23rd Major League Soccer team to move into a soccer-specific stadium, after announcing plans to build a new home on Tuesday."
They can build a stadium in a single day? Wow!
Usually not without taxpayer money. If you can end a war in a day, you might be able to build a stadium in the same time.
I guess when they bring your food, and ask if you need anything else, and you say "no", there's an off chance you might decide you want another drink or something after all. So I'm not totally opposed. I just prefer the old "how is everything" to "how is everything tasting". And I also note that in Europe, they've deemed this unnecessary. The point of them coming back is in case they have missed something. A fork or drink or something required to eat your meal. But yes they do seem to time it.
