I like this, because it blends into the orchestral melody. And I regard this song as "brilliant"; the melody, lyrics, and orchestration are just extraordinary.

That's a big jump. Answer: I like plenty of songs that have oo's ah's ee's woo's or ay's

Agreed. I just don't like that one spot. Might just be the way he sings that one part that I don't like? Maybe if it were done by a choir, or just violins, I'd like it? Not sure. But him doing it there that way, no likey.

In 1973, Neil Sedaka and 10cc released an 11-track album, The Tra-La Days Are Over, in the UK. It was not released in the US. It included the original version of Love Will Keep Us Together. Howard Greenfield wrote the lyrics and Sedaka wrote the music. They had collaborated on 22 of Sedaka's 1950s-60s-70s hits inc;luding Oh! Carol, Calendar Girl, Stairway To Heaven, Next Door To An Angel, Breaking Up Is Hard To Do and Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen.

Glen Campbell's It';s Only Make Believe is a remake of a 1958 number-one hit by Conway Twitty, who co-wrote the song with his drummer, Jack Nance. The song has been recorded by more than a hundred artists including Johnny Burnette, Jerry Naylor, Paul Anka, Lynn Anderson, Bob Luman, Timi Yuro, Wanda Jackson, Jack Reno, Collin Raye, Bob Luman, Hank Locklin, Ronnie McDowell (1981), Showaddywaddy and the Jordanaires. Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn recorded a duet version for their 1971 album We Only Make Believe. In 1991, Twitty provided guest vocals on a new version by Ronnie McDowell which appeared on McDowell's Unchained Melody CD.

Yes, Diana Ross and Neil Diamond; they're good songs. And Tears of a Clown is another one of those brilliant songs that I should start a thread about. Aside from the great lyrics, the way they integrate the circus music into the Motown groove is just awesome.
