Concerts you have attended?

The Pretenders ended their sat with probably my favorite song of there’s, Mystery Achievement.

I only recognized one L7 song. Still a good set.

I really enjoyed the Foo Fighters set. Dave Grohl brings a lot of energy.
Mystery Achievement is a great song, and much better for a finale than Brass in Pocket.

I only know Pretend You're Dead from L7, but I imagine they rock pretty well.

I really like FF. Just don't tell Grohl he's talking too much.

The Pretenders are playing the theater down the street in a couple days. I looked into tickets a few months ago, thinking "I like 'em a lot but never saw them live".

The cheapest tickets were over 100 bucks.

"I don't like 'em that fuckin' much."

In fairness, the show's pretty much sold out.

I saw them opening to Guns 'N' Roses. I liked them. But I agree, not $100 worth.

It was a great concert last night. I would have posted more, but my cell service was crap where I was sitting.

I really enjoyed the Foo Fighters set. Dave Grohl brings a lot of energy. We left right after Monkey Wrench. Need to get home and didn’t want to wait in traffic.
Glad that it was a good show.
I heard on SXM today that Grohl made some comment on stage last night that he chocked on his hair while he was singing, and I wondered how you liked the show.

After paying the cash and making it through the rest of the concert, I'd have a hard time leaving early. I mean, who knows if I'll get to see any of them again.

I could probably go $100 to see the Pretenders, especially if it was a smaller venue.
Chrissie is royalty.

This is the place I've mentioned here a few times a block-ish from my apartment. I think the capacity is 2000-ish.
That was what I figured.
It seems like a good place for it, and soooo easy for you to get to.
I'd probably be in trouble if I lived so close to a place like that.

My weird work schedule ( I get up in the middle of the night, even though I work from home ) keeps me from going to as many shows as I'd like. But it looks like I'll see 4 shows ( Adam Ant, X, Howard Jones/ABC/Haircut 100, & Psychedelic Furs/Jesus And Mary Chain ) there this year.

Is the venue sponsored by First Wave?
They do host a lotta current acts as well. For some reason, my concert choices this year have leaned in that "child of the 80's" vein. With a dash of "crossing old bands I never got around to seeing off the list before it's too late".

I've couch toured 11 of the 18 summer tour shows Phish have played so far.

This is the first tour (I believe) where they offer the live show stream for every stop so I've been making the most of it.

They have 8 shows remaining and I plan to get them all. This Thursday through Sunday is their Mondegreen Festival in Delaware where they play 3 sets each show then they end the tour in Colorado with a 4 show stint at Dick's.

It's been a fun tour so far. I need to get to a show in person on the next tour.

I'm happy for you. But for me, I can only handle a fraction of one of those 20-minute long jam songs before I'm out. I can't imagine wanting to watch more than 1 live show.

Haha. The last 3 dates in Bethel NY they played around 19 songs each night which was a bit of a bummer to see. While fun shows I'm happy I didn't buy them live because with that many songs per night they wound up only having 2 songs over 20 minutes for the whole run. I do still buy the LivePhish audio streaming service though while they're on tour so I can listen back to the shows the next day.

Also you'd hate Goose live. They jam even more.

I've seen a bunch of artists who do some long jams. One of them is Springsteen. I don't think he does a single 3.5 minute song in concert. Every song is drawn out, and he turns a few of them into 20-minute jams. Also Dave Matthews Band, and Steely Dan. I'm sure IRBS would've walked out of some of those shows.

I would not have gone to a DMB concert. I have seen Springsteen and Steely Dan and did not notice extremely long jams (any more than a usual concert). I did not time each song and they may have done the album version or the 12" single version but I enjoyed each song for both artists. Perhaps Springsteen does it differently when the concert is being recorded? I also saw Steely Dan in 2017 after one of their members had not only left the band but died. Maybe that changed their concert strategy.
