They hit some ledge at one corner of the foundation site, which they're assessing now. But with all the fill we've brought in, plus the soil testing of the site, we know our risk is limited. Of course having the fill trucked-in is expensive. So, one way or another, you're going to pay.

OK, update #2: the guy's from Belmont NH (not Mass), which is near Laconia and the lakes region. He's a habitual offender both with his vehicles and at home. If you look inside the van and see how it's packed to the gills, you know he's got issues.

They brought in sand fill, and now I have a Bobcat parked in my right garage bay.

Lot's of things going on with the house site:

The septic tank is in, and the basement walkout has been framed.


The Eljen GSF modules are on-site at the leech-field area.


From the perspective of our newly created backyard, you can see all the fill has been leveled, and the pilings for the back porch and deck are in.


The well has been drilled, and the sub-floor decking and basement posts are on-site.
