In the picture above, you can see we had some electrical work done, if you look really closely

In the end-cap of the front porch roof, we had spotlights installed, so when we let the dogs out at night, we can actually see them in the side yard. This was done a few months ago, along with installing an outlet next to our master-bath toilet. These posts provide a good segue into the reason for the outlet.
So this is the talk of the town amongst us middle-agers. It's called Tushy, it's a bidet retrofit for your toilet. Friends of ours were raving about it
Dude, you need the Tushy. It's changed my life.
I have the retrofit bidet attachment, called Tushy, and I don't want to ever leave the house anymore.

As much as I like the Tushy, the toilet itself is getting "tired". It doesn't flush well unless you hold the handle. We had a plumber look at it, and the plumbing's fine, but the one-step-up from economy toilet design and flush mechanism is not holding up so well. We bought 3 identical toilets when we built the house; the other 2 are only occasionally used for guests and visitors, so they're ok.

The other issue is that our retrofit bidet is a cold-water-only model. Now that we have the outlet, we could upgrade to a better retrofit bidet, but the toilet flushing issue would remain. We're at that age where the thing to do is just get a decent toilet, with all the features we'd want. That's what several friends have done.

So we walked into Frank Webb Home, and ordered a Toto toilet with full-function bidet. It'll look something like this

Our toilet is in somewhat of an alcove, so we have sidewalls nearby for using the control panel (instead of having to grow an arm from my back). Needless to say, it will do everything we'd want it to do. We are skipping the auto-lift lid, and auto flush. I like feeling like I'm still in control.
