Seriously, "boojee" (or "boujee", "bougie", etc.) means wealthy, but with an emphasis on casual acceptance of that wealth and an almost oblivious projection of middle or upper class expectations on others.
There's no part of that which resembles any aspect of my life. I mostly don't go to expensive places, do expensive things, hang-out with wealthy people, or go to big cities and do upscale things.

I drive to a suburban tech area to work with other geeky engineers, and then I go home to a quaint, rural town. I'm not even a "middle manager", and neither are any of the people we spend time with.

As far as restaurants, maybe we just interpret "favorite" differently. To some, it's the place they go to the most, but to me, it's the place with the best food and experience.

For instance, being surprised to see a grown man who isn't on drugs sacking groceries at a Trader Joe's would a "boojee" reaction.
This is not the case, but if it makes you feel better, you can think that.

What kind of shoes do you wear on a daily basis? That's the easiest way to measure your booj quotient.

I find this oddly interesting.

I'm a Puma fan, probably because of Formula 1. I have a few of those, that I sometimes wear to work. But my current favorite is a pair of leather Converse All-Star John Varvatos, which I got at The Rack for 66% off retail. Yesterday I wore a a canvas pair of Sperry Topsiders. I have a leather pair I wear in fall and spring. And for winter, I have a Keen hiking sneaker and a Timberland Earthkeeper leather hightop shoe. I also have a pair of Pikolinos leather sport shoes that I like, but I don't wear them much anymore.

You can stop at "Sperry", ya big booj.

I'm pretty boojee, but I own a bunch of T shirts that aren't solid black or white. Here are some of my boojee shoes:

Being boojee is not bad. Well, it is to f-ing commies. Everyone else wants to be boojee.
When I met my head-of-cardiology neighbor (who just bought a Tesla S), he offered the tip that I could get $2,000 off the initiation fee at the York Golf Club for a couple more days, as it was the end of the pre-season special. So instead of $6,000 to join, it would only be $4,000. At the time, our general contractor was sending us these huge final bills.

I don't golf, and I certainly had no intention of joining, even if it was free. But I wanted to appear to be a member of his world, that echelon of society, and I just said "oh thanks, that's great to know, I'll keep that in mind".

So you're passing for boojee at least. That's as good as being boojee.

These are neighbors that we're never going to actually socialize with, so yes, I want them to think we're players. Otherwise, they'll think we were nuts for building an expensive house.

I find this to be sad

About 37% of US adults consumed fast food on any given day
Here's how much fast food Americans are eating - CNN

"A Rudd Center report said that 91% of 871 parents who took an online survey said they had purchased lunch or dinner for their child in the previous week at one of the four largest fast-food restaurant chains: McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's or Subway. The survey was conducted in 2016. On average, they'd gone 2½ times per week. So those numbers are pretty comparable to about a third on any given day."
