2014: Counting Crows "Palisades Park"

Long video, but it says so much.
What it's like to be an unrecognized musician singing from your heart.
What it's like to grow up with a great friend.
What's it's like to lose a great friend with issues.
What it's like to miss a childhood friend.
Watch it, and then you really might know what it's like.

2014 was another great year for music vids.

#2 Royal Blood "Figure It Out" (be surprised!)

#3 Ok Go "I Won't Let You Down" (be amazed!)

#4 Brian Byrne "Arizona (I Miss You Most)" (be sad!)

#5 Steel Panther "The Burden Of Being Wonderful" (be amused!)

2015: Brick + Mortar "Train"

This one re-creates iconic movie scenes. I know most of them.

2015 - yet another great year for vids.

#2 Body Count "Institutionalized"
Watch Ice-T lose his sh*t over first world problems with new lyrics over the Suicidal Tendencies classic.

#3 Walk The Moon "Shut Up And Dance"
A corny but very fun 80s-themed video. Almost as good as the 2011 80s-themed video TGIF by Katy Perry, but that one's hard to beat.

#4 Wolf Alice "Bros"
Just a beautiful tribute to having a great childhood friend.

#5 Ghost "Cirice"
The "13-year-old rebel" somewhere still in me loves this video. Ghost is this generation's Alice Cooper (70s), Motley Crue (80s) or Manson (90s).

I avoided "Shut Up And Dance" for a while. The U2-ripoff jangly intro made me not want to hear it. But Alt Nation kept playing it so often I finally relented and accepted it for it's "Walking On Sunshine" cheesy but fun vibe. The video helped me like it more.

2018: Lil Dicky "Freaky Friday"

Body swap, like the 2003 film of the same name, and 1976 film it was based on, and the 1987 film Like Father Like Son, and the 1988 film Vice Versa...
