Halloween 2026

With Kingchuck's recent clue about the Michigan Senate Candidate who was a former hockey player born on Halloween, it reminded me that is already time to give a little bit of thought to Halloween which will be on a Saturday this year. I ordered some SpiderMan Dipping Sticks as with the huge success of the SpiderMan Brand New Day movie: I anticipate 1 in every 5 boys will be dressed as Spiderman and 1 in every 10 girls as MJ.
I plan to decorate my bike and ride at night a few days before Halloween and maybe enter the city decorating contest.
I will add more to this later in the year

Note: I did watch the videos of Steve Kornacki (the Kentucky Derby guy) doing the election results for the Abdul El-Sayed race. He makes them very interesting.
We watched him do the recent election night for the Governor's Primary in Wisconsin

I know it is still too early to think about Halloween, but I spend about 5 minutes a day thinking about it. I now have all the treats I will be giving out. If cooler treats come out at the stores, I'm out of luck. 1 Box of Spiderman Dipping Sticks (new), 1 Bag of Peanut M@M's, 1 Bag of Oreo Ghosts (new) 1 Bag with 45 Tootsie Roll Pops and 1 Bag of 50 assorted pieces with at least 8 boxes of Junior Mints. If I run out of everything, then I'll give the remainder of the bag: Dots, Tootsie Rolls and Charleston Chews. Now I just have to get a bag of Riesens for the mom's.

I put up the outdoor holiday line around the house last week with the nice weather and have my orange lights around the bushes lite up and also got a new outdoor football sign. It says, "Fall is for Football". Indoors, I brought up the autumn tree and got some new orange battery operated lights to hang on it. Along with the other autumn decorations for the living room. I just have to find my football plate to hang. I also use that plate to hold the Halloween candy on Halloween night so the kids can choose what they want.

I've already had my first caramel apple. I like caramel apples this time of the year. And I'm waiting for the little pumpkins to show up at the stores. I will put 4 or 5 at the park flower bed. The past two years I put a little pumpkin at the open lot #666 but a house has now been built there now so I should not put one out anymore.

And finally, I activated my Disney Plus which I've had for some time. I'm going to watch all the Spiderman movies. I liked "SpiderMan Brand New Day" at the theater so I want to see the rest of them. I've already watched "Because of Wynn-Dixie" I will come back and add more to this post when we are closer to Halloween Night

I went on my first Halloween Bike Ride tonight around the neighborhood looking to see who decorated their homes. I taped my orange lights to the frame while I listened to The Spectrum Jenny E. The upper skies were foggy which was neat to see the planes hidden in the fog and you'd see flashes of light in the sky. I was going to ride the bike path in the park but saw a shadow so I turned around.

Then a new development for my treats for the Mom's. I was going to get Reisens but found a new treat. I've been going to the Afternoon Book Club at the Library. We just finished "To Kill a Mockingbird" last week. And they were giving out these Bauducco Choco Biscuits to snack on which were pretty tasty. So I decided I will pass these out to the Mom's on Halloween Night.

We will also probably go to the Wisconsin/Notre Dame hockey game on Thursday Oct 29th.
