I first discussed the clarinet with Casual in 2014. Then with you a year later. Then another 25 or 30 times since then. So it's kinda like me coming out of a cave and getting all freaked-out to hear that you like going to an amusement park for kids. It's played.

And besides, wtf can you do? Can you play clarinet, or guitar, or drums, or trumpet, or piano? Do you even know how to read music? Have you ever performed in a concert with 65 other musicians? Or do you just sit at home and rent Phish concert videos?

Dude that seemed a tad trenchant. Are you actually upset? If you are, I apologize and I will stop.

Teasing you about something that obviously takes a shit ton of effort is the joke...... Any witty thing I say is negated by the fact that my whole premise makes me look ignorant.... To me, that's what's funny.

You ask if I've ever performed a talent I have.... I have not. Any sort of desire to perform publicly is a personality trait I'm happy to not have.

I would much rather be Tom Marshall than Trey or Desmond Child than bon Jovi.

wtf can you do?

That's a good question. I can find happiness to "just sit at home and rent Phish concert videos" with Pam. She is the one and only person I will ever need or want to think I can do anything even remotely exceptional.

(And she certainly does think that about my banging talents so I'm good. hahahahaha)

Reading music is super cool btw Hendrik could do it. He could see sheet music for the first time ever and just sit down at the piano and play. It was really cool to watch.

Obviously, I brought up the engineer and clarinet thing because it's something to joke about. What disappoints me is acting as if I sprung this "kooky clarinet thing" out of nowhere, just a day ago. It's an endeavor that I've been sharing since I came over to the Studio Lounge in 2014.

My analogy is your Disney fascination. It's expected that we'd occasionally joke about it, but it's something you've been talking about since you've been on the forum. So if I acted like I had no idea you were into Disney before today, you'd probably wonder if I ever paid attention to any of your posts, or if I was senile or on drugs.

I hate to admit it, but I had forgotten you play the clarinet. Obviously a 100% problem on my end. I mean, there's no excuse. And I know other tidbits like this fall out of my head. For example, most regular users here have explained the meaning behind their username and I've forgotten half of those explanations.

I'm sure you recall that I play in a community band, where we play brass and woodwind instruments and percussion - as opposed to rock band instruments. I don't think it matters much whether I play clarinet, trombone, french horn, or sax. We are not an orchestra, which is mostly comprised of strings - violins, violas, cellos, bass etc.

Between 2003 and 2012, Richard Scofidio's architectural firm renovated the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. including the 1,100-seat concert venue Alice Tully Hall. Scofidio died March 6. Two days later I posted the story on the Celebrity Death Thread. Here is more:

It's kinda stupid.
They mention vanity projects, and that seems about right.

I hate to think about what corners they cut to get that far once they were running out of money.
