I've heard Laufey many many times on the Coffeehouse but
I heard Laufey for the first time today on Watercolors. She played this tune from her newest CD.

Lily was commenting how her young son loves her music. She has fans from all ages.
And she has been labeled as the chosen Savior of Jazz. I also heard play a tune on Cool Jazz Christmas

I became familiar with her on John Mayer's channel.

For 2026 I'm going to try to be hip and up with the current hits on Hits 1. listening to the Weekend Top 30 with Spyder Harrison.
I think he lost his weekday job to Mack and Jen but is on weekends. My first top 30 #1 Taylor Swift Opalite. And my Coffeehouse girls in the top 20
Olivia Dean #6 Man I Need
Laufey #19 Lover Girl

During my weekend workouts, I've been listening to the Lisa Loeb Where Are They Now interviews, from 90's on 9 on demand. They are short and sweet just like Lisa. I've heard Gunner Nelson (son of Ricky, grandson of Ozzie), Carnie Wilson (Wilson-Phillips), Bon Jovi, Lacey Chabert, 10000 Maniacs with Leigh Nash (former lead singer of Sixpence None the Richer) so far. The one I was shocked and excited about was Michael McDermott, who is a co-lead singer in an international pop jazz group from the 90's London that I really like: WorkShy. But it turned out to be different American Singer Songwriter named Michael McDermott.
I'm looking for to hearing more

This weeks Hits 1 Top 30 still had TaylorSwift at #1 and Laufey's "Lover Girl" dropped to #25 :(
#5 Conan Gray "Vodka Cranberry" was on the Coffeehouse rotation last year, Katseye "Gabriella" and Raye "Where Is My Husband" are cute and catchy.
I think Chapell Roan "The Subway" is the song most likely to be remembered in twenty years,

One last note on the Holidays: I finally heard my two favorite songs on Navidad so I am done now
"El Burrito De Belen" and "Ven a mi Casa Estate Navidad"

During my weekend workouts, I've been listening to the Lisa Loeb

I recently found out that Ethan Hawke directed the video to her banger:

Couple of observations now that I just listened to and watched this really cool song.

1. I think Ethan was clearly trying to make this look like a oner (shot all in one take) but he so clearly uses the easiest tricks in the book to get around actually doing that. Like having the camera pan behind a structural support beam as it's following Lisa from one room to another. That's clearly a cut.

2. I don't think this song has a chorus and that's cool and different.

That's good stuff.
My favorite Lisa Loeb song is Waiting for Wednesday. But she kindve rocks it out in Taffy.

I have the cd somewhere in my house

I'm still holding my resolution of listening to Spyder Harrison's weekly top 30. Taylor Swift's Fate of Ophelia is #1, There's a gal with the same name as me:
Madison Beer "Bittersweet". I saw her performing her song on the Dick Clark's New Years Eve. AJR "The Big Goodbye" is a pretty cool song. And my sweetie Laufey "Lover Girl" is back up to #16 after dropping to #25. A great rebound!!

My other listen was a mix: Road Trip Radio's Midnight Drive. Promoted by Hits 1's Nicole. I liked it even though I was not driving through the big city at midnight.

Spyder Harrison's new Top 30 still has Taylor Swift #1 "Fate of Ophelia". She's invincible on Hits 1. "Vodka Cranberry "#2. That would be something if a Coffeehouse song from last year were to knock her off the top spot. Rave "Where is My Husband" should have been #1. It would be funny if they started playing that at Wedding receptions. Bruno Mars "I Just Might" is a new catchy tune. And Lover Girl is #15

Sorry If repeated some of your stuff Channel 98 on Broken Chart thread (just read)

Conan Gray's Vodka Cranberry debuted at #124 on Billboard's July 26 2025 Bubbling Under chart. The next week it was gone. It returned to the Bubbling Under chart for the week of August 30 2025, at #111 – and the next week it was gone. But this week it is #2 in its 24th – twenty-fourth! – week on the SiriusXM Hits 1 Top 30. Why is it such a hit on SiriusXM in 2026 when it was not a hit at all in 2025? Bruno Mars' I Just Might, which just debuted at number one on the new Billboard Hot 100, debuted on the Hits 1 Top 30 at #27.

Well the listeners of Hits 1 must have read your post this week because "Vodka Cranberry" dropped like a fly all the way down to #18 while "The Fate of Ophelia" stayed at #1. But I'm happy I heard a new songl in the top 30 played on Coffeehouse Discovery last fall; Olivia Dean's "So Easy". I liked another new song called "Internet Girl" something about zuchini. I also like Benson Boone "Mr Electric Blue" and Laufey is #19

Seeing that movie "Mercy" over the weekend reminded me of that old song by Duffy that I use to hear on Worldspace XM channel U Pop.
It may have been on other channels but that is where I would hear it

Thanks Hectic. Another good song's U Pop played around that time before being dropped for the merger

I also listened to Alt 18 countdown. The only song that was in both the Alt 18 countdown and the Hits 1 countdown was "Dracula"
Sombr had a song on both but different ones

More App Mix's I have listened to lately: (All during my Workouts)

"Coffeehouse Hibernation" Winter Mix with Laufey's "Snow White" in the mix, made me cry as I remembered hearing with my ear plugs on, in the sunshine early last autumn.

"Cusp 69/70 Countdown" hosted by 60's Dave Hoeffel. Songs debuted in 69 that peaked in 70.
Included: "Lonely Girl, Arizona, Jingle Jangle, Venus, Wedding Bell Blues, Leaving on a Jet Plane, Something, Walking In the Rain" (Jay Black version)
#1 song "Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head"

Valentine's mixes from Hits 1
"Forever Era" Love Songs Mix
"Flirty 30 Countdown" Hosted by Jen, Nicole and Symon
Both had nice tracks but not so super Lovey Dovey

But I've kind've lost track where I am at with the Hits1 and Alt 18 countdowns
