One day in 1974 my sister told me she heard a new song she liked but she didn't hear the name of the woman who sang it. It was Laughter In The Rain. "That's not a woman," I told her. "It's Neil Sedaka." All she could say was......."Oh." :D

Interesting that you mentioned that:
Last summer, I would hear this song on the Coffeehouse. It sounded like an all-female group but to my surprise was all male

my latest listening on the sxm app;

Winter Solstice Mix;
Nice soft stuff from the Spa.

Lisa Loeb Interviews
Carnie Wilson: 2nd interview after death of Brian Wilson
Colin Hay (Men at Work): His natural voice doesn't sound anything like his singing

Hits 1 Countdown:
Spyder Harrison quips: Tate McCrae is dating Jack Hughes (Olympic NHL gold winning goal fame),
Madison Beer likes very hot & spicy snacks

Bruno Mars is finally #1 over Taylor Swift. Olivia Dean has new song at #28 "A Couple Minutes"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And this Olivia Dean song "Time" deserves to be on The Coffeehouse, I requested, it is too beautiful not to be

and I like Bridget Calls Me Baby "Slumber Party"

I have now written to Dick Golden 4 times for a playlist and each time he has kindly responded back.

I have filled out a SXM Feedback Request form to have The American Jazz Show on demand.
If they do put it on that would give me quite a menu of the shows I try to listen to on-demand. Some I can't catch weekly but it is nice to have the option.
But I haven't missed the American Jazz Show live on Saturday morning for about a year.

My other favorites on demand are:
Sinatra Playing Favorites
Cool Bobby B Doo Wop Show
Mary Sue Village Folk Show
60's Satellite Survey with Dave Hoeffel
Gorilla and Bear Show
Coffeehouse Live (my favorite artists like Laufey and Olivia Dean)

Working on Howard's interviews

New ones:
Lisa Loeb 90's Where Are They Now
Alt 18 Countdown
Hits 1 Countdown

The other live show I try to catch on Sunday afternoon for years is Nancy For Frank. It's now in re-run

Despite my hectic basketball schedule, I was able to fit in a few mixes on the SXM app

Spring Break 2026 Pop Essentials from Hits 1: Kind've of fun listen
Doja Cat: "Point the Town Red" a remake of old Dionne Warwick song: "Walk on By" I suppose if I looked up on You Tube reaction, they would all be faking that they had no clue that the Dionne Warwick version existed

Kei$ha (excuse spelling) "Tik ToK" Haven't heard in years. First time I heard when Erin Andrews did her first dance in Dancing With The Stars

Alt 2K

Lily Allen was in the She's Alt That mix for "Smile"
The Coffeehouse would also play a nice acoustic version. I would speed up whenever I would hear it

My new mix today was "Spring Thaw Mix" from Yacht Rock Radio. It was one of the shorter mix's
I listened because I figured they have lots of 70's hits. And it had "Afternoon Delight" which I gave 10 points in the Madness vote.
Also "Saturday In The Park" and Stephen Bishop "Save It for a Rainy Day" which I haven't heard in years even though I own the "Careless" cd somewhere in the house. The mix ended with that Yacht Rock Radio DJ that talks like Mr.Howell

I am two weeks behind with Spyder Harrison's countdown and Madison's AltNation countdown

I been listening to Wine Bar again since it's the official SXM home for Kate Bollinger tunes and its other sophisticated sounds.

I also heard 70's on 60's Gold today: "I'm Just a Singer in a Rock n Roll Band" The Moody Blues

I'm now three weeks behind with Alt 18 and Hits 1 Top 30. I bet for Hits 1, I could listen to this week's and not miss anything

I listened to the Coffeehouse for the first time this year driving through the countyside and taking a walk today. I'm looking forward to nice Spring and Summer Days ahead.

Flashback to 2008:
The Coffeehouse would play this really cool Jaymay song. I believe this was the song that really got me into the channel.
