Fuck me man. I'm watching Saving Private Ryan now. Those guys were real life superheroes. Without them (just regular guys) my dad wouldn't (and have starved to death) exist and neither would I.

For all the shit that's going down right now, America's kinda cool.

Today is the 75th anniversary of V-J Day.

8.6.45 and 8.9.45 are directly related to me being alive today and the main reason my father was able to live a full 91 years.

What are those full on camo suits military people wear called? You know the ones that make you look like a bush. I'm pretty sure they have a silly name like a gilly or something like that.

I'm watching Animal Planet on mute right now and some dude is wearing one.

I don't know about a suit to make you look like a bush but you could start with this mask.

OH H.....EYE OH

This benefit is available to Navy Federal members who own a vehicle with a factory-installed SiriusXM radio, including members who recently purchased a pre-owned vehicle and closed on a Navy Federal auto loan, members with an existing Navy Federal auto loan regardless of how far into the term they are, and members who own their vehicles outright. Eligibility restrictions apply.

"As member experience is always top of mind for us, we're pleased to team up with SiriusXM to offer even more value for our members," said Joe Pendergast, Vice President of Consumer Lending at Navy Federal Credit Union. "Whether driving in your car, using SiriusXM's app on your phone or listening through a connected device at home, members can tune in to their favorite stations from anywhere."

At the end of their three-month trial subscription, active duty, veterans and their families can take advantage of SiriusXM's Military Discount, which offers a 25% discount on eligible subscription packages.

A massive arctic base seems like something a James Bond villain would be getting into.

Gee, I wonder who allowed them to do this unchecked for the last few (say 4) years?

Ok I get that this post is inheritably political since war/politics go hand and hand. And this will be my only post on this specific matter. I may bring up the conflict again as it continues to develop but I will not mention or reply to anything related to this specific matter.

These two tweets really bother me. And it's because they are from high level/respected government and media outlets.

So here we have ABC News tweeting a quote from a source I personally respect, the AP. The AP says they "narrowly avoided" a disaster. This is simply untrue. The IDF warned both Al Jazeera and the AP that they intended to hit the building and told them to evacuate. They were given time to get out, which they did. If you decide to report in war torn areas you must be aware there is a solid chance you'll have to GTFO at any moment.

ABC reports in their own article about the issue that the IDF issued a warning:

The strike on the high-rise came nearly an hour after the military ordered people to evacuate the 12-story building, which also housed Al-Jazeera

And let's not forget that the IDF states that the building was also housing "Hamas military assets".

This brings me to the next tweet from the Press Secretary:

Now the US State Department currently classifies Hamas as a "terrorist organization".

What is the AP doing sharing a building with a terrorist group? I would assume an organization with their size could properly vet their office space.

Also, so we call one group terrorists and the other out allies...Obviously when our ally tells us something we should trust them more than a group we deem terrorists.

So I guess all of this was to say that those two tweets that hit my timeline this morning really got to me and any day of the freaking week I will trust the IDF before that of a United States designated "terrorist organization".

Sorry for my war/somewhat political rant guys...needed to vent that. I'm done now.
