So they completely trashed somebody's life that was already pretty fucked up because they mis-identified him as the shooter?
Nobody trashed anyone. If you do a google search on the name, it comes up with the one who's on the registry. He is nearly the same age. I don't know what "they" you're referring to.

Didn't they release a story/update outlining this guy as the guy who did it? Talk to his friends? Or was that the real guy and I just confused that?

Are you talking about trashing the life of the shooter, sex offender, or the sex offended?
of the 3, I know which one already had their life trashed. I don’t feel bad for the other two no matter how it works out.

To be clear, the police released his name from the license on the car. I used the name to find a good article to post here, and since I live in Maine, Google gives me local results first. So I noticed the sex offender guy (as did others on social media). But the police and news never made that mistake, because they had the right guy from the car registration. But I noticed that they always give his birthdate of 1983 when they reference him, because the sex offender guy was born in '84. So the news is aware of the Googling issue.

Ever heard of the expression "that put you on the map".... Well, I've been put on the map!

The Robert Card who did the shooting was in the looney bin recently for threatening to shoot up a different place. Who the EFF let him out? I want their head on a post!
Yes, the Maine State police profile that I posted above has that info. And it does suck that he was released, but they would need a compelling reason to keep him there.

I read several stories and your update here last night. I obviously mixed them up in that process and lost track of who was who.

Has Robert Card committed suicide? I hope he has.

My bet they will find him in some time with self inflicted wounds.
Called it.

CBS News says the Coast Guard is using "a response vessel dispatched from Boothbay Harbor, Maine, and a fixed-wing aircraft from Cape Cod, Massachusetts" to look for Robert Card's green 2019 Sea-Doo boat. I hope they find the boat soon – with his dead body in it.

I feel bad for this lady and her fam but this story usually wouldn't be worth posting, just a stabbing death, but I found one line in the article kinda funny.

Matthew Amador, one of Khan’s neighbors, told the outlet that he grabbed his sword when he processed what was happening and ran after the attacker.

I mean, who doesn't have their trusty sword always at the ready just in case the need arises to chase a random attacker?
