The link no longer works, here's a working one

Several points come to mind. In this sequence:
-- she is diagnosed physcotic
-- she is re-granted full custody of the kid
-- she is able to purchase a shotgun.
-- she kills her kid
-- she is found guilty of murder and did not use the insanity plea.

I would string up the custody judge for accomplice to murder.

From a different article

During closing arguments, defense lawyer Bryan Leary said she participated in the boy’s death but was not the one who shot him. He said no eyewitnesses, photos or videos connected her to the killing, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.

“She’s not charged with the crime they have proved,” Leary said. “She destroyed evidence, lied to police, ran away, but they have not proved beyond a reasonable doubt that the gun was in her hands when it was fired nine times into her son.”

From the people.com article above

Authorities noted that Thaler "bought a shotgun and learned how to use it" shortly after Hart filed papers asking the court for full custody, the Star Tribune reported.

Shortly afterward, she allegedly went to a shooting range with a friend to learn how to fire the gun, Fox 9 reported.

...
Thaler's ex-boyfriend, Robert Pikkarainen, testified that on the night of May 19, 2022, she let Eli stay up late and then grew frustrated when he became rowdy, KARE 11 reports.

She was hitting him," he testified. "Then Eli was hitting her and they were fighting."

He said she briefly left her apartment, put her shotgun into her car, returned and "grabbed Eli and went downstairs," KARE 11 reports.

When he woke up the next day and asked her where she went, she gave a vague answer. "She was kind of like, 'I had to go do something,'" he testified.

Yeah couldn't have been her..... LAWYERS SUCK!

Clancy, whose defense attorney claims that an overmedication of prescription psychiatric drugs led to homicidal and suicidal ideation, pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges from Brigham and Women's Hospital in February.

Wow. I don't remember this case, but that's a horrible thing to do. She's clearly fucked in the head, but no differently than any of these mass murderers. You hear about the same thing resulting from people going off their meds.

What's funny is that Tewksbury hospital is down the road from my work office, off Livingston Street. We'd go by it every time we went out to lunch (back in the old days).

My question is, why was she put on those meds in the first place. Was it "I feel a little depressed (but I've never so much as hurt a fly in my life)" and the drugs turned her into a child killer? Or was she strangling cats at 15? Sadly we'll never know. If it's the former, big pharma will make sure we never know.

Clancy's attorney, Kevin Reddington, told Judge John Canavan that she was overmedicated for postpartum depression and anxiety, that she was prescribed a dozen medications in four months. He detailed Clancy's struggles with medication after Callan's birth — she didn't go through the same thing after her first two kids were born.

Patrick Clancy would later tell police his wife "was having one of her best days" after being prescribed various medications and committing herself to McLean Hospital, according to prosecutors.

I'm not sure what the "committing herself to McLean Hospital" part means.

In March, Idaho Governor Brad Little signed a bill authorizing death by firing squad as a means of execution. It becomes effective July 1. It's too bad it isn't already in effect. This women deserves it.
