So meow meow beans (get that hecitc? you've been watching community)...aka Athena...I got her trained that a "cat pick up" isn't the end of the world even tho she doesn't like it. I grab her and sit her on the side of me on my chair. She'll sit with me and let me pet her for a while and that's nice.

Today, we were walking the Marginal Way in Ogunquit with the dogs, and coming the other way was a couple with an identical dog. Ours is Tali, theirs is Tully.

Just coincidence, they're mini labradoodles. I guess there's only so many dog names. I thought of Talia because it's the female form of the Greek god of bronze. I doubt they used the same naming logic.
I recently realized there is a whole section of Youtube dedicated to "videos for cats". Athena is a big fan.
It's cute, she'll try to attack the screen then go behind the TV to see if the birds are back there. She's thinking logically.
So as a result of cat Youtube, she now watches TV with me and I think it's super cute and I totally love it.
Here I am tonight watching Hamilton (yet again, what a surprise) and Athena is digging it. She's my little TV buddy.

Got these old friends staying with us for the week again. The Roomba has given its notice.
So beans (aka Athena) is constipated. To the point it's concerning. I took her to the local vet. This is the first time she's been outside my room since Hendrik died. They are keeping her overnight and said they will call me tomorrow. I'm kinda scared. I forget when I got her. it was either on 09 or 10 so she's 12 or 13. That's not young. When issues like this arise they make me fear the worst.
