We got our new office furniture. I've got a motorized standing/sitting desk now. It's good to get out of the chair for a little bit each day.
To get everything set up and comfortable, I got another one of these for work. The price went us $7 or $8, but it's still a good deal.

I know we went over this in the Ohio Domestic Terrorism Thread (aka wonderful world of architecture) and you do everything digitally these days but is there ever an instance at all where you would spread a blueprint out on that big desk? Like maybe once a year or something?

I have one of those too. I never stand.

It's like when you buy a treadmill and it winds up being a place you hang clothes.

That picture is from the Amazon ad for the laptop boom arm, not my desk.
I do still roll out drawings on a regular basis. It used to be every day, but it's prolly down to once every 2 or 3 weeks now.
We usually get old drawings scanned pretty quickly, and I try to dump as much of that stuff as I can on one of my minions.

If I posted this somewhere else, please point it out. I thought we had talked about Father's Day (a month ago now), but I can't find anything. Anyway, my daughter - the one who's always buying me new "voynal" - got me this awesome piece to display the album (or CD) that's currently on the stereo:

I have it plugged-in to the stereo's power-strip/conditioner, so when I turn on the rig, it lights-up.

Rush!!!!!
I inherited 5 boxes of my friend's albums. I put aside about a dozen of them while I was sorting through, to listen to later. On this occasion, I listened to Grace Under Pressure from Rush, and Afterburner from ZZ-Top.

I have to say, the recording/mastering on the ZZ-Top album is top-shelf. Dynamic as hell, and all the "headphone" effects are clearly displayed on my rig. Nobody would ever believe this is vinyl.

OTOH, the Rush album is compressed, so it would sound louder on the radio. This is no "Moving Pictures".

My state park pass $20 was a happy purchase. I've gone to Gov Nelson State Park every month this year but yesterday's visit was the nicest at the nature beach watching the ducks and the birds and the plants and the trees slightly changing color and the view of the Capital over the lake with a slight breeze. I probably go back later this month to see the trees change

also, I have now broke 1000 miles on my e-bike now

That's nice. We have a whole bunch of parks and hiking trails we take the dogs to. One is an old fort, and in the summer you need a pass. The people that Mrs. Scotch works for pays for that pass. Perhaps I'll put together some pictures of our favorite trails.

The Gaylords – originally the Gay Lords – had seven top-20 hits, 1952-54. The Detroit trio was led by "Ronnie Gaylord" (real name: Ronald Fredianelli). Their most annoying song, The Little Shoemaker, reached #2 on Billboard's August 21 1954 Best Sellers chart (behind Sh-Boom by the Crew-Cuts). Look at their picture. They may have really been gay lords, if you get my meaning.

Madison, you should share with the class that Governor Nelson State Park is named after the Wisconsin Governor and state Senator who created Earth Day.

Goodness, all these months going there and I didn't know that. I was even reading about him on the sign posts last month. This is my first year at the park in like 20 years. I'm glad to be going back there.

That sounds nice too, You probably have a lot of beauties there. Next September, I'd like to go back to Duluth Minnesota and visit the nearby waterfall parks in southern Wisconsin and the Minnesota North Shore. This year I just wanted to take in everything here in town.
