Each week, I will post a favorite song from Chicago's first 11 albums. Unreleased cuts from my grade school and high school years when I followed the band very closely.
The first song is "Hollywood" from the Chicago VI album. Sung by Robert Lamm. While the hits on the album were "Feelin Stronger Every Day" and "Just You n Me"

If I may contribute to this, I will also post a non-single song from that set of albums.

This is from the last side (side 4) of their first album. It's built around the August 29, 1968 Democratic Convention protest. I decided to pick this video form a verbose YouTuber, because he shows the album liner notes, and explains the story behind the song. He plays the album tracks at 4 minutes into the video.

Not really. They are not nameless horses but I would avoid listening to them if given the choice.

Hot Streets was actually released my senior year of high school and I liked "No Tell Lover" very much. The first post Terry Kath album.

And thank you drdoo for the upgrade. I'll see it as a positive for the future of DRC

I played that track for my wife a few weeks ago after we watched an RFK assignation video. We were talking about RFK Jr first. Not the same video as yours but another one on YouTube. Also, when I had the album, I do remember Bruce Springsteen's picture being on one of the record sleeves. I only have a CD of Chicago I now.

I saw an interview that an employee at the Chicago Transit Authority told the group why not just call yourself Chicago

This line from the Wiki article coincides with my understanding of the situation:

After the release of their first album, the band's name was shortened to Chicago to avoid legal action being threatened by the actual mass-transit company of the same name.
 
Wishing You Were Here, written by Peter Cetera, includes harmony vocals by Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson and Al Jardine of the Beach Boys. Terry Kath sings lead vocals and Cetera sings the bridge. The song was number one on the adult contemporary chart for the week ending December 21 1974 and peaked at #11 on the November 30 1974 Billboard Hot 100 and #9 on the December 7 1974 Cash Box Top 100.

Nice! During the summer of 1975 Chicago/Beach Boys Concert Tour, WLS promoted the concert in Chicago. The jingle was "Chicago is coming home with friends The Beach Boys for the concert of the year"
