Having received about 100 likes in a big burst for posts done months/years ago, I was looking at the forum stats and seeing how far I was behind scotch (a lot). But I noticed that it was someone's birthday today (BTW: this info is buried which is why it is almost always missed).

We had looked into getting it on the front page a few times, but you need to buy a plug-in for that and keep it maintained.
Keeping the costs down has helped us outlast a lot of other forums.
