Shipotle is disgusting, I walked into couple of there places and find there food mixed up in all of the containers and way over priced. Plus I'm glad I walked out, that when they had the e-coli outbreak, it not worth getting sick there.
I'm with you on this. And I have an interesting story that involves Chitpole.

The wife and I were on a road trip somewhere, running late and dealing with traffic, and we needed to get something for lunch, so we took an unfamiliar exit (never a good thing), and started looking for a place to get a bite. It was one of those busy intersection type multi-lane roads, with left turn and right turn lanes, and a mile of stores and restaurants in both directions.

I just wanted to pull into the first table-service restaurant I saw, get out of the car, and sit down to relax and eat (I was driving). She wanted to get something to go, and eat on the road (naturally, because it's easy to do that as a passenger), but she didn't like most of the drive through places like McD's. So (of course) she gets her way, and we stop at Chipotle. We get into that horrible cafeteria line, I don't know how the menu works, and I can't read the signs from the back of the dimly lit place.

I end up getting several fillings stuffed into some sort of basketball-shaped wrap, and when we get back on the highway, I start pecking at this ball of food while driving, and there's rice and corn going everywhere. So I put it back in the paper wrapper, and tell my wife I'll have it later. She thought I was refusing to eat as a protest for getting Chitpole, so she took the unfinished half of her burrito and whipped it out her window, and onto the highway.

We have not gone to a Chipotle since then.

Haha, nice job on both fronts!

I wear prescription sunglasses when I drive, and I do have eyeglasses for night driving, but I don't usually walk around with them.

I'm sure the Chipotle was picked over by birds or raccoons, right before they got flattened by an 18-wheeler.

Pretty good story, I wouldn't blame yea and I know your new name for them Chitpole. I usually call them Shipotle, because when you stick out your tongue and say ship it sounds like another word.

Chipotle is OK. Freebirds is a little better. It's just like Subway, but with a burrito instead of a sandwich, and flavor instead of blandness.

I feel the same way but with Moe's instead of Freebirds.

There no Moe's or Freebirds here in Phoenix. I prefer Rubio's, since Baja Fresh all closed down a few years ago. There are quite a few berto's in the valley like Rigoberto's, Eriberto's, Humberto's, Aliberto's, Filiberto's, etc.

Why does Phoenix have so many -berto's restaurants?
